Hi all. On all previous trips like many others I have planned the whole trip including booking restaurant tables in UK. On my next trip I want to be free and easy and decide what I am doing when I wake up.

We will be traveling in low season and hopefully be on ddp. It seems that people are booking everything in u.k nowadays and everything is all booked up before the holiday. So in 2013 is it possible to turn up with no plan and turn up to restaurants or book on the day? Anyone else go with a blank sheet?

A lot will depend on your party size, the time of year and where you want to eat. Although it is possible to get walk-ups in low season at off-peak times of the day, if I were on the DDP I wouldn't want to take the chance that I might not get in anywhere for dinner on a particular day.

If you were going to, say, get up in the morning and speak to the concierge (or dining reservations) to find out where you might be able to eat that evening, that would be one thing. But to leave it until the evening and hope you can get somewhere to eat at whichever location you happen to be at might be more risky.

you should be able to book some ADRs on the morning of your day, however they may be at odd times and at some of the less popular restaurants.
I know I often see what ADR's are available on some days and theres usually something at each park.
As already mentioned, it would also depend on your party size.
If youre wanting to walk up to restaurants, one of the best times to turn up is just before they open.
It can be done, just dont have any 'must do's' on your list and be flexible.

personally being on the dining plan, I too would suggest booking a few just in case you struggle and end up wasting credits.
perhaps a few days worth and keep the others flexible.

good luck.xx:goodvibes

Thanks guys. The party will be two plus infant so small. Also looking at november so quiet. May do a couple of must Do's but do like the idea of asking concierge and saying we off to epcot what have you got.

Think last time I was to worried and had to much planned want to be nice free and easy this time. Any examples of people planning nothing?
