Hi, we are heading down during the Thanskgiving week with my family in one room with one DDP and my parents in another room with another DDP. I will make the reservations for all of us for dinner, do they just give separate bills for each DDP (one for my folks and one for my family)?

Yes they will - we did the same thing a couple years ago; they will split the bill anyway you want them to. However, if your total party exceeds the 8 person threshold (I believe it's 8... can't remember - may be 6), then the tip is added to everyone's bill automatically. I personally prefer this, but just something to keep in mind.

We also did this two years ago - had three groups but all ate together. We never had a problem. We just would like the server know who was to be billed together - no different then if we would've been paying out of pocket and wanted the costs split.
