I have a list of Dinner shows in orlando area that we would like to see on our next vacation. I want to make a poll if I can, and if you have any suggestions or which shows are worth the time and money. Our last year trip we went to Arabian Nights and we were very impressed with it, but of course we want to see something new and just or more exciting. The list I have and if I missed one please let me know but they are Arabian nights, Dixie Stampede, Pirates Dinner Show, Medieval Times Dinner, Polynesian Luau, Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show, and Wonder Works Magic Dinner Show. If you have been to any of these and have any comments or if I get the poll going here let me know which would be the best top go to. Thanks

I haven't been to the Dixie Stampede in Orlando, but I've been to the one in Pigeon Forge. It's a pretty cute show. If you have kids, they'll probably get a kick out of it. Only thing (at least about the one in Pigeon Forge) is that the show doesn't change. So if you see if this year, you won't want to repeat it in the future.

Well I can tell you which one we did not like and that was Sleuths. Maybe we just aren't mystery theater people but we went with another couple and none of us enjoyed it at all. The food was awful and the whole show was just boring. The other people at our table though seemed to love it as it was their 3rd time back so I guess it just depends.

I have always loved Medieval Times but have not been in a bout 5 years so it mnay not be as fun as it used to be. My DH went to the luau for work and enjoyed it.

Have fun!

I don't see Hoop De Doo on the poll. We have been to that one several times. In fact DD then 23 selected it for her college graduation trip! It's at Fort Wilderness, has a menu of ribs, fried chicken, salad, beans, corn bread, and strawberry shortcake, with beer, wine, sangria, and the usual Coke products for beverages The entertainment is corny jokes, some audience participation, and most folks really love it.

I am glad you told me that because that would probably be one my Sister in law would pick to go see when we go down with them and to me I didnt think it would be that amusing. Thanks for the heads up.

I will see if I can add the Hoop de doo and Al Capone to the poll if not thanks for the names had not seen them before.

Lots of DISers have reported that the luau at SeaWorld is better than the one at the Poly.

We're giving the SeaWorld luau a try in November. Park admission is not required, just the luau ticket.

Good luck!

we had a terrible experience at arabian nights 7 years ago, so are not going back there, glad to hear you had a better time than us though.

Haven't been to Sleuths in a few years, but I remember the show being on the boring side--also, the ending seemed kind of random, with the ""clues" during the show meaning next to nothing. The prime rib was surprisingly decent, tho, better than expected.

I voted for Medieval Times, but have enjoyed Hoop de Dooo and Arabian Nights (also been a while), and hear good things about Dixie Stampede.

Avoid Pirates Dinner Show like the plague.

for adults:
go to Tony & Tina's wedding.
it was just wonderful!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:
a wacky  wedding that you participate in.

we sent the kids over to the neverland club for the evening.;)

bumping............looking for more opinions.
Thanks!

Just want to note that the Dixie Stampede in Orlando is no longer in business.

Really?? I was wanting to go to that too! Thats too bad I was told that one was really good.

Actually Pirates was OK but our favourite was American Gladiators before it closed down. Medieval Times has been around a long time and you don't get to do it that long if you aren't pleasing people. The worst we went to Arabian Nights... but if you are into horses you'll probably love it.
