We are returning to WDW in Oct with our 2 sons who are 6 & 4. We have lots of fun things planned with them including character meals, sci fi, and the rainforest cafe. My mother-in-law is coming for part of the week and has volunteered to watch the boys one night so my DW and I can have a nice relaxing dinner alone.

When we were there 2 years ago we had lots of family and mangaged 2 dinners alone at the California Grille and the Flying Fish. We both really enjoyed both of these but are thinking of trying something different. Any other ideas for a nice quiet dinner with good food???

Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the Dis!

We are looking at the possibility of a night out alone in WDW next year. While I havent eaten at either of these restaurants I think Ive narrowed it down to either Palios at the Swan or Yachtmans Steakhouse. Both look nice with good menus.
You can check out all WDW menus on wdwig.com .

Enjoy your night out!

Thanks CamColt. They both looked like they had nice menus.

Any other suggestions out there for a nice quiet dinner with DW?

We had a lovely time at Artist's Point and also California Grill.

Think for sheer romance Artist's point would get my thumbs up, you can take the boat afterwards and see the castle change colors from the water, (take a jacket to put around your wife's shoulders for added ahhhh!)

My Top 3 restaurants from my last visit

Citricos (Grand Flordian)
Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge)
Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge)

NARCOOSEE'S AT THE GRAND FLORIDIAN IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. IF YOU GO IN THE EVENING, DURING THE MK FIREWORKS, YOU HAVE THE PERFECT VIEW AND A QUIET, DELICIOUS DINNER.

I second both the Yachtsman & Jiko. The Yachtsman is our favorite - if you can go for a later dinner it is usually less crowded.

You might also consider Spoodles. Good luck & have fun!!

If you like seafood (clams, mussels, shrimp, etc.), then I suggest Cape May (at the Beach Club). They also have prime rib, bar b que (sp?) chicken and other things. It's an all you can eat buffet and, in my opinion, totally worth it. The desserts are awsome, also!

Yachtsmans Steakhouse & Narcoosees

YS is a tradition with us. We have never had a bad meal, the service is impeccable and find it a little quieter then other restaurants.

We hadnt been to Narcoossees in a while but went xmas eve last year. We were all impressed. The staff was great and the food very good. Not to mention the beautiful view. IF you are there when the electical water pageant is in process you have the best view.
