Any suggestions on where to make dinner reservations where you enjoy fireworks etc. at the same time?

We'll be at DW on my birthday in January, and I'm thinking I'd like to spend that day in Magic Kingdom. Any suggestions for a fun place for dinner? This is our first trip to DW (have been to DL several times and always just ate at the walk-in places).

Thanks!

There is no TS at MK where you can enjoy Wishes. You can enjoy the parade from Tony's if you sit outside and some of Wishes. Wishes can be seen from Cali Grill or 'Ohana if you time your meal right.

Besides CA Grill at Contemporary and Ohana at Poly, you can watch fireworks from Narcoosies at Grand Floridian. Each of these are on the MK monorail loop so you would have to time your ADR to coincide with fireworks, leave the park, catch the monorail to the resort. Ca Grill is on the 17th floor of Contemporary and there is a viewing platform to go outside and watch from there and probably provides the best view of these 3 restaurants. Its very popular to eat there during fireworks so if this is what you want to do, you need to call NOW to try to get a time for the day you want in January.

I have reservations for 7:30 at the California Grill on November 20. Wishes begins at 9:00. I have been told by the veterans that it will be great.

It will be great. I love the fireworks view from there and we go every trip. The great food doesn't hurt either!!! Enjoy it--I'll be doing the same thing in January.

California Grill is awesome. A little pricey....but you can't beat it for a special occasion.
Also, make sure you request a window seat looking out at Magic Kingdom....an hour before the fireworks.:wizard:

Thanks for the great information! How about a place in Epcot to eat and view IllumiNations?

I am using two table service credits for this. I see 2008 plan changed!

We don't do DDP. We have AP's and use DDE. It works better for us for the way we eat at WDW. Since you are going in 11/07 on the DDP, you got in just in time before the changes though. Good for you. I think the appetizers at the various places are the best part of the meals so you'll get to have them with your plan.

We are also using two credits at Flying Fish. I don't think I would use the plan with the changes.

I feel the same way. The appetizers were the best part of the plan. I'm glad we have the DDE to at least catch some sort of break. When DH and I go just the two of us, it doesn't really matter one way or another as we only eat dinner each day but when we take the adult boys and their families, the DDE is definitely the way to go for us.
