Well our daughter will have her 10th birthday when we are there. We have the Quick Service plan but would like to do 1 real dinner, and thought we would do this for her birthday. But knowing some of the prices $30.00 :scared1: for a buffet are insane. She will not eat $30.00 worth of food as well as my mother would not eat that much. Knowing that a meal for us could cost over a 150 makes me question where are we going to eat? Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Have you ever tried Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Resort? They have delicious burgers and the best ice cream! It's a really cute little place and reasonably priced by Disney standards.

If you aren't big eaters I would choose a table service restaurant that isn't a buffet and share meals. This would be much more cost effective than a buffet.

If you're paying OOP for the meal, your daughter will be able to order from the kids menu, so that should save a bit on the bill. Buffets and all-you-can eat family style service are the only TS that will charge full adult price for her. Lunch at most TS is a bit less expensive that dinner. If your daughter wants some entertainment, 50's Primetime Cafe would be fun. If you'd prefer something a little more grown-up, Coral Reef is very nice. Take a look at the menus and decide what would fit your family's tastes and budget. You'll find the menus if you click the Dining tab at the top.

For us we are usually on the dining plan, but when I want to have a few 2 TS meals we will pay out of pocket for the cheaper places

Plaza Resteraunt in MK dinner
CP breakfast
Sci-Fi Lunch

Here is some links to the menu prices:

Disney doesn't penalize children for growing up. Her age at check in is her age for the trip.

I would doubt that any TS location would have an issue with her ordering off the child's menu. Her age is officially 9 on the reservation, and her ticket media will be a child's pass.
