Dinner - Need Advice

We are staying at CSR the week of 11/6 and will not have a car. My wife's grandparents (who live in Florida, don't they all) will be coming up to visit us and have dinner one night. The question is where to have dinner.

Their car is not big enough for all of us, so we can't go off property. They don't have park passes so we can't go into the parks to eat. The UG's rating of the Maya Grill at CSR is very poor. I guess that leaves Downtown Disney or something on the Boardwalk.

Any advice?

On the boardwalk, Flying Fish is excellent. I have heard good things about bluezoo at the Dolphin also. At Downtown Disney, we have had good meals at Fultons.

I would suggest getting a fairly early reservation at a restaurant in one of the monorail hotels. Then take a bus from CSR to MK. From the MK bus stop to either the MK monorail station or the Contemporary is about the same distance. This will then give you a wide variety of restaurants. Note that they can use the transportation system at no charge.

You have lots of choices at the resorts. Boma or Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge are both great, and going to the Lodge gives the opportunity to hang out and watch the animals on the savannah. Wilderness Lodge has Whispering Canyon Cafe and Artist Point. At the Contemporary you have the Concourse Steakhouse, Chef Mickey's, or the much-touted California Grill. Don't forget about Ohana's at the Polynesian (great view of the castle) or maybe even the Grand Floridian on the monorail line. If you have dinner reservations they could park in the parking lot of the hotel and you could meet them there. Or you could drive your car too and meet them at any of the hotels.
