Arrival Non Park Day - Aug 23rd
Non Park Day - Aug 26
Non Park Day - Aug 29

Obviously it is really late to be picking ADR's, but we are having a tough time figuring out where to eat. Currently we have a bunch of Kona reservations only because we are staying at the Poly.

We have two kids (4 and 6) so fine dining types of places are a no go. Essentially we are looking for places to eat for a family of 4, reasonable price, good food.

I don't mind traveling a bit to get there (with Disney transit) for a decent meal.

Lastly, we are kind of late the pick up reservations but not much we can do about it now.

Aug 23 I was hoping for Ohana or Chef Mickey's because it's the day we arrive and I would like to jump start the Disney experience. However this isn't set in stone either.

The easiest ADRs to make would be at resort restaurants (The Wave, Grand Floridian Cafe) or in Disney Springs.

If they like dinosaurs, you can call T-REX in Disney Springs directly to make a booking. Raglan Road is fun with entertainment and books on OpenTable.

Since you are at Poly, I would recommend considering The Wave at CR, Grand Floridian Cafe and Trail's End at FW. The Wave and GF Cafe will be easy to get to on the monorail and have good food. You can catch a boat from outside MK to get to Trail's End and there is a playground and horse stables nearby which are a lot of fun.

There are some good restaurants in DS, too! Raglan Road is a lot of fun! I would look up DS restaurants on the WDW website and see what appeals to you. It's easy to hop on a bus to DS from Poly.

Keep watching for your dining choices. We find as the date nears, there are many cancellations to be had.

Splittsville and Raglan Road are some of my fave spots at Disney Springs. Also, Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs is the best quality quick service on property in my opinion. I do love the Wave (wonderful breakfast buffet), Boma at Animal Kingdom for any meal is wonderful and you can take the kiddos around to see the animals, Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge is probably my fave Disney restaurant that is not a signature meal.

For special date nights on our trip August 5-19, my do and I will leave the college age kids behind and got to Monsieur Pauls on my bday amd then to Jiko another night. Both of those feel special to us.

Jiko is my pick! You can get a drink at the AKL bar, enjoy the scenery then enjoy a delicious dinner at Jiko
