Dinner attire

We are leaving for a 4 night dream cruise in a few weeks. What do people typically wear for dinner? What about kids? My youngest (10) is past princess stage and will want to go to kids club during dinner (second seating). Middle is a 14 yr old boy.

People on my Facebook group are packing capris, but another chat said people really dress up. Thx

Please wear clothes. Kidding. Khaki shorts or pants with polos are popular. Nice pants and comfy tops work too. I've also seen jeans and tshirts but khakis are always a safe bet. Have fun!

Casual nights I usually wear jeans. Option dress up nights I will wear a sport coat or a suit with no tie. Formal nights I wear a suit/tie.

LOL! Sadly, my 50 yr old pooh shaped body should not been seen in public without clothes!

So black pants, nice top and necklace, vest or scarf to dress it up should work? Dh and ds will need khakis. Okay. Trying to avoid over packing, but it sounds like two outfits will be needed each day.

Kind of (goodness knows I do). But you can wear good black pants and khakis more than once without anyone being the wiser. Look up capsule wardrobe for vacations. It'll help.

You don't have to dress up if you don't want to. My husband wore khaki or black cargo type shorts and Hawaiian type button shirts every night. I have some cute skirts that I like to wear when i have the excuse, but for me most nights it was capris and a top. Don't feel obligated to dress for dinner every night unless you want to do it. Kids are totally fine in play clothes if that's how they're comfortable.
