Arriving at MCO around 2:30, renting a car, staying at POP, have tickets for the party but wondering what to do about dinner. Should I plan on making resv. at a MK TS restaurant or just eat fast food at POP or at MK. Priority is the parade and fireworks.

You can actually enter the park at 4pm I believe. So we always eat at the Crystal Palace for dinner.
We did this on our MVMCP last year and it was perfect. Had a 6:00 adr and was out by 7pm.
Of course might be better to make an earler adr if the parade is a must, that way you have plenty of time to pick your spot and plant yourself.
We wandered during the parade.

I would definitely take advantage of getting into MK early....there is never enough time for that park in my opinion. lol

Honestly...when you arrive at resort...grab a quick meal...fill yourself up and then just arrive at the earliest time to party..and enjoy. Don't waste party time in a restaurant. Grab hotdogs, popcorn, whatever for a snack while you are waiting for parade!

ditto webray!

We made what I consider to be a mistake by dining at CM for our first hard ticket event (P and P party). Had an early-ish reservation and thought that things wouldn't really get going until 7. Now I know that it's much better to get into MK around 4:00 and kind of get started riding rides and enjoying everything that's going on - in general.

100% agree. You really don't want to waste valuable park time eating. Get something to eat at POP before heading to the park. Then, you can get cookies and hot cocoa and apples to snack on during the party.

This is really a good idea if you have never been to the party before. No way would I take an hour or so away from the party to sit down and eat.

We always make a TS ressie for between 5 and 6. We get to the park about 4 and ride something we know will be closed later in the evening. By the time we are finished with dinner, the change over to the party is is usually done.

The sit down dinner just makes our evening even more special.

If you can, consider viewing the later parade as the crowds generally thin out by that point.

Thanks for the advice - think that we are just grabbing a quick meal at POP - with a 4 yr old along don't know if we will make it until the 2nd parade and if we get any rides in that would ok - but not really going for the rides - will do those a couple of days later.
