Dining with little ones

My 3yo is very picky. No matter where he went, there was something he would eat. The buffets have a good selection for the kids.

I agree with the buffets. They have a section of kid-friendly food such as mac and cheese, pizza (I'm pretty sure it was plain cheese), chicken fingers, etc.

Another idea is to check the menus on allearsnet to see what each restaurant has for kid-fare, and go by that. Most of the kid's choices seem to be kid friendly...stuff like burgers, hot dogs, etc.

We didn't have any problems at any restaurants with our 2 youngest who tend to be picky. The buffets are great and most of the sit down places offer atleast one very kid friendly choice.

We kids are picky eaters but they love fruit so we always do alot of buffets. They get there moneys worth out of watermelon and strawberries.

Buffets are a great suggestion. Most have kid friendly choices - the typical mac n cheese, often pizza and/or nuggets. Plus they have the full adult selection too!

Check out the menus here on the DIs, that should help you make your choices.

Have fun planning!

I've found with my kids that especially if you go in the heat of the summer - they might not eat as much as you are used to them eating. With all the excitement...and heat...and, let's face it...SNACKING on vacation, I was happy if they had a handful of bites during the actual meals. I focused more on trying to keep them very hydrated.

If they are really picky...you might want to try taking some of your own snacks to the parks. If you end up at a meal that they won't touch - pull a granola bar out of your purse. I've also brought Dole fruit cups with me in the backpack. I know they'll eat enough throughout the course of the day even if they don't eat what I consider a meal at that sitting.

I would take them to a buffet like Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine, Chef Mickey`s, or some of the other ones. Also, I think you should try Ohana`s, they have a variety from wings to pork to steak.
