You will enjoy any of them. We don't stress over that. Formal night is just as nice in PC as it is in AP or Lumiere's IMO. You have the same menu, same uniforms for the servers and most are dressed up.
Dining rotations are assigned. You may make a request for one but it is just a request. Once you board, you will find out what you were assigned. If you don't like it, you can go to dining changes (time/place listed in the navigator) and try to change. Like others have said, rotation isn't something to stress about.

Ditto! We have had just about every conceivable dining rotation on the different DCL itineraries and each was great. I would just go with whichever rotation you are assigned.
I agree with PPs. We just go with whatever rotation we're assigned. We've done formal night in Parrot Cay, Animators, Lumieres and Tritons (different cruises). And Pirate Night in different locations, also.
