Okay, I am officially confused. What is this dining rotation all about and what is the best one to request for the four night cruise. We don't plan on eating at Palos for dinner but want to do the brunch. HELP! Also, we are traveling with two 11 year olds and a 5 year old who thinks she is 25. Do you all think late dining would be okay? That is what they have us down for. Should I try to change it? One more question..can I prebook the brunch since we are in Cat 3 or is that just for dinner? Thanks to all the experts, You all are the greatest.

I don't think it makes that much difference what rotation you have on a four day cruise (I don't think it makes that much difference what rotation you have for a seven day cruise though). Whatever restaurant you eat in first, you will eat in twice - so if a certain decor or theme appeals to you, that may be the rotation you want. The food is the same in all the restaurants on the last night. I would guess based on your kids ages that if you don't specify, you have a good chance of Parrot Cay-Tritons-Animator's Palate-Parrot Cay.

We did early dinner, and wouldn't have it any other way - but our kids are little and I don't eat late. A lot of people coming from the West prefer late dinner - and a lot of people just plain like late dinner. The big thing with kids is can they wait that long for dinner and stay awake through it.

Which restuarant did you like better? Which was the most fun. Am I correct in asuming that you would then repeat that restuarant's menu twice? Thanks, I so appreciate all the help and advice.

For the 4 night cruise, you get the restaurants menu the first time through, then all 3 restaurants have the same menu on the last night. I can't remember if it's "The Master Chef menu" or "Small World menu". Dave's site will tell you for sure. I think the url is www.dcltribute.com

For our family (and this is JUST my opinion, others disagree), I liked Triton's the best. Parrot Cay is a very festive atmosphere, but it seemed loud to me. Our table happened to be by the serving door in that restaurant, and directly under a huge air vent, so we had hustle and bustle all the time. The head server actually moved us around to empty tables on our 2nd and 3rd night in that restaurant (we were on the 7 day cruise). It probably didn't help that I had a very bad headache on our first night in Parrot Cay, so that colored my perception.

Good luck, and enjoy your cruise!

yes you would repeat one resturant twice.
but on the 4th night everyone gets the same Best of Menu
the Palo brunch is on the day at sea,

since you list FL in your location, I would do early dining. unless you are used to eating at 9pm

I really didn't care too much about atmosphere. They were all very different - but basically, its a room you eat in, and they were all charming.

Animator's Palate is interesting. When they do the show (the first night you eat there) the restaurant changes color. This is the restaurant you will only get to eat at during dinner. Its the most "Disney" of the restuarants - character drawings on the walls - so may be a favorite if you are a huge Disney buff.

Parrot Cay is very green and tropical. They have a breakfast and lunch buffet in this restaurant, so you may see it a few times on your four day cruise.

Tritons is the most formal and elegant. They serve sit down breakfast and lunch, so if you really enjoy this atmosphere, you can see it several times.

The menu at all the restaurants the last night is the same - its the "Best of" menu.

On our Bahama's day we are getting a room at Comfort Suites so that we can spend the day at Atlantis. We are planning to eat dinner there before we return to the ship. How will this affect our dinner rotation? Will we still get to eat in all 3 restaurants on the ship?
Are we allowed to make a request for a certain rotation?
HELP!

Thanks!

Why would you want to request a certain dining rotation? Just curious?? Seems like you get to go to all of them anyway, so why bother? Maybe I am missing out on a good secret though! Please fill me in.

Will be on 4 day with a 3 year old, and have rese's for Comfort Suites as well. Because of that, I am requesting a rotation that will place us in Animator's the first night of the cruise to ensure that the 3 year old gets to see the show. If we decide that we want to have dinner at Atlantis, we won't run the risk of losing out on the 3 year old missing the show at Animator's.
