Hello!
Thought I would just give a quick review of the places we ate on the DP.
May 16th
Ate at Riverside Mill (POR) for lunch - had bacon cheeseburgers and carrot cake and chocolate cake. The burgers were awesome - the cakes good but not great.
Ate at Wolfgang Puck Express Cafe (Downtown Disney) for dinner - I had the Margherita Pizza (amazing) and fruit for dessert - very good. My husband had the BBQ chicken quesadilla - which was amazing. They were all out of dessert except for the fruit cup, which my husband did not want, so they let him substitute any side. He chose the Herbed french fries and they were very, very good.
May 17th
Ate at Rose and Crown (UK - EPcot)for lunch - I thought this was the best meal we had - one of the best of this type I have ever had actually. THe server was so nice - service amazing - decor very authentic and nice.
I had the Potato Leek soup - so good I got the recipe from them and my husband had the cheese and fruit platter. Both were excellent. We then both had the fish and chips - the best I have ever had except in Ireland. I highly recommend it. For dessert, my husband got the Guinness Chocolate Cake to go (we were too full) and it was good- not anything outstanding. I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and it was without question, the best dessert I have ever had in my whole life - seriously - I wouldn't even normally have ordered a pudding - but due to recommendations on here, I did and I am glad I did. It was a cake with butter rum sauce and warm pudding - got the recipe for that too...
For dinner we ate at Le Cellier - it was really amazing.
I had the shrimp cocktail appetizer - great presentation - delicious. My husband had the Cheese Beer soup - it was amazing. We both had the mushroom filet mignon as our entree - it was perfectly cooked and so tender you could cut it with your fork. I highly recommend it. The risotto it was served with was delicious. For dessert, we shared the sample dessert plate which had Chocolate Club cake with an orange sauce under it (very good), maple creme brulee (amazing) and raspberry sorbet (out of this world). The breadsticks they served first were very good also. I highly recommend this restaurant.
May 18th - Magic Kingdom
For breakfast we had Mickey Mouse ice cream on a stick
We had Dole Whips later as a snack - they were not covered as a snack but they were worth the $2.89 each. MMMMM.
For lunch we ate at the Columbia Harbor House - we both had the chicken and fish combo - it was very good. The chocolate cake and cole slaw were also very good.
For dinner we ate at the Crystal Palace. We thought the food was very good. Lots of good choices. The highlights were the Meditterranean Pasta Salad, the Prime Rib, the Penne Pasta with chicken, wild mushrooms and creamy cheese sauce and the garlic mashed potatoes. For dessert - the best was the key lime pie and Tiramisu.
We can't wait to go back. Hope this was helpful. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!
