Hello!
We ate at Coral Reef on November 4th, for dinner, with our two small children (18 mos. and 4). The service was great and even though our table was pretty far from the tank, you could still see the fish, especially the sharks, very well. My kids loved that. The waiter brought my daughter a "special princess strawberry drink" in a "grown-up" glass, which made her so happy. The kids also loved the crayons and pictures of all the fish in the tank which they were able to color.
We didn't have appetizers, but my husband had the grilled NY strip steak, which he declared the best steak of the trip. The mashed potatoes were also delicious. He had the Key Lime Mousse for dessert and it was really good. My daughter had the pizza, which was actually delicious and served on a Mickey shaped plate, but she was pretty focused on the sharks and didn't eat much...
I had the "pan-seared seasonal catch" which was Cobia over mushroom risotto with bay scallops in it. I didn't love this dish. The fish was a little fishy like it wasn't the freshest and the risotto was a little too "al dente" for me. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't order it again. I had the Cheesecake Napoleon and thought it was very bland (but the berries were delicious), but later noticed it was a no sugar added dessert, so that accounts for that...
Not my favorite meal of the trip, but worth it for the service and the beautiful view of the fish tank. Will probably skip it next time though.
