We have a couple of advanced dining reservations for next week. When you arrive at the restaurant do you? walk past the queue (assuming there are people waiting without reservations), or is there a separate entrance for those with advanced bookings?

Thanks

I have seen different podiums in the past but if there is just one then you have to get in line and wait to be attended to.

Remember, ADR's are NOT a guarantee that you can walk right in and be seated , just that you will be seated before anybody who walks up without one.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that the ADr does not guarantee a seat, what I don't get is this: if I arrive on time for the ADr and there is queue of say 20 families ahead of us (who don`t have a ADR), presumably these people will be seated first anyway, ( as the CM will not be aware that we are there until the queue length is reduced by giving people seats)??

Very rarely will many be seated straight away. They always tell you to be there about 10-15 mins early as well.

I KNOW THAT SOME RESTAURANTS ( CRYSTAL PALACE IS ONE ) HAVE A WAITING AREA AND AFTER THEY TAKE YOUR NAME YOU WAIT TO ONE SIDE AND THEN THEY SEAT YOU FROM THERE
HTH
( sorry about the caps :rotfl: )
