720 pm reservations for Crystal Palace on party night on 11/20 but not going to party. How strict are they about kicking you out at 7pm? Should we try to check in at 7pm at Crystal Palace so we are "safe" or should we look for reservations elsewhere?

You will not be seated, and probably charged the no show fee. You can not utilize a reservation time of 7 pm or later unless you have a party ticket. When you check in has no bearing. They are very strict. You can book 6:55 pm or earlier. After you are done then you are escorted out of the park. I would book a dinner outside at one of the resorts, or another park.

This would be showing on the first page of the restaurants reservation page under hours ..
Breakfast
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Lunch
10:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Dinner
4:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Dinner
7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Special Ticketed Event

Something like this should have shown during the reservation process ""Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event."

- Your confirmation email should also include a similar notice, "Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event."

- And the closer it gets to the time if you have not added tickets Disney may call you to tell you that you need tickets. That happened to me prior to me cancelling mine when I was still debating about party.

Note that at 7 pm they will be guiding you to exit. You will not be allowed to enter any land only head to hub, not enter an attraction, enter a store, purchase food or use the bathrooms. That is how strict they are. I would just head out and go enjoy your evening somewhere hassle free.

Thanks for the help and advice. Great information. Thanks.

Welcome, would hate you show up, not get seated, charged fees and scrambling for dinner. That's not fun. Lots of other great options for eats and no worries going in.

Have a great trip!

Ugh, I just snagged a BOG at 7PM on the nose - I did not see any warning as I made the reservation, but on my confirmation email it says that it's during a special ticketed event and that all party members need to have the special ticket.

You are not the first person to have that happen to. I wish that warning was more visible before folks happily booked this elusive ADR and then have to change it.

how do you know what parties are going on throughout the year?

There's just Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) which takes place on select nights from early September through Halloween (sometimes Nov 1) and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) which takes place on select nights from early November, through about one week before Christmas. You'll know what nights they take place when you look at park hours because Magic Kingdom (MK) closes at 7:00 on those nights.

thank you for your quick response :) I knew of those two, we are not going then, but I wasn't sure if others popped up in the year. This helps me with my planning! thanks again

This is good to know since we'll be in MK during a party and not planning on staying for it. I guess we turn into a pumpkin at 7 instead of midnight! Thank you :-)
