Dining reservations for large group (14 people!)

My parents, siblings and our families (kids, spouses) are going on a once in a lifetime trip to DW. I have been to Disney with my kids many times so I am familiar with the dining reservation process. I have never booked for a group of more than 4 people though Am I crazy to think we will be able to get dinner reservations for our large group of 14? Am I better off calling to make the reservations or doing it on line? Any advice from anyone who has experience with this would be appreciated! Our trip is not until the spring so I am not at the 180 day mark yet...just trying to do some advanced planning. Thanks!!

Really it just depends on how popular the restaurant is that you want to book. If it's BOG Dinner for example, that might be a little difficult even at your 180 day mark. so really, it all depends.

No advice but I have had a hard time getting reservations for a party of 10!

We had a party of 8. We had two people in the party go online together and book 2 parties of four for some of our meal ADRs. Then , we would arrive about 20 minutes early and ask them if we could sit together for the meal. It wasn't a problem. Only once, we were told that it may take longer to seat us. It's was worth the chance.

I booked a party of 18 in March. However: we only had one meal with all of us together, and the rest of the time we were in smaller groups. The logistics for our crew were never going to work otherwise! We ate in Disney Springs and called the restaurant directly. (We went with Raglan Road; they were wonderful, the food was good, everyone was happy.)

For the second largest group meal we booked nine at Biergarten for lunch, but that's not usually one of the trickier ADRs for us.
