Dining Reservations for 2

I am surprising my wife for our Anniversary with our 1st trip to Disney without the kids. I am used to making reservations in advanced. In this case, I do not necessarily want to be tied down to a schedule. Is it difficult to get walk-up seating for two?

You didn't say when you are going. Off season from most restaraunts I never had an issue. If you are going during a high peak time you will need ressies for table service at all the good ones. La Cellier in Epcot and Ohana's you will need to make ressies almost for any time of the year. When I go solo or as a double I have never had trouble with hotel restaraunts. Last time I made ressies just in case I couldn't just walk up.

We are going 8/13 - 8/16. Would it be wise to make the ressies anyway just in case & if something changes we cancel? Also, any recommedations on where to go for a romatic dinner for to in the Magic Kingdom?

Absolutely make your reservations just in case. You don't want to plan to go to dinner and find out you cannot get seating and be left empty handed. You can always cancel, I think 24-48 hrs in advance. You and try to get a reservation inside Cinderella Castle for dinner. Or you can go to California Grill for a dinner before the Wishes fireworks and watch them from the balcony at California Grill. If you are going to do that make it a 6 pm dinner and get to the balcony early because it fills up fast. Always allow 2-3hrs per table service meal. agree... make reservations and you can always cancel them (unless it is a restaurant that requires a credit card to hold)

I don't know of any "romantic" places in Magic Kingdom, but around that area you could try California Grill in Contemporary or Victoria & Alberts at Grand Floridian.
