Dining reservations 180 + 10 with a DVC reservation?

I've read a little info here on the board about the hiccups with dining reservations working correctly with a DVC reservation. We will be at VWL Dec. 20-27th. Of course this involves getting difficult Christmas day reservations. We hardly make dining reservations anymore, but since this is going to be such a busy time I want a few reservations. Is there anyway to know ahead of time if my 180+ 10 is going to work before I log in early in the morning and find out it doesn't? Any advice?

I was concerned too, but our 180+10 window opened today and we were able to book ADRs for all four days of the first part of our split stay. The only hiccup for us was that we want to book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package and they aren't doing those yet.

So hopefully the DVC reservation/ADR problem has been resolved by IT.

I think it's been hit or miss for a while now. I've never had a problem booking 180+10 but others have at the same time I booked.

If it doesn't work call MS, they will book dining for you

I just made ADRs earlier this week. I was able to get 180+length of stay with MDE using IE11 on a Windows 7 computer but MDE on my Android phone would only allow reservations at 180.

Does online ADRs open at 6am EST, then over the phone at 7am EST, and member services at 9am EST?

We've never had any problems booking 180+10 days out with our DVC reservation.

I wish I could say I didn't have problems booking 180+10 days out. When I attempted to book my ADR's back in December for our trip in a few days, I could only book day 180. I had to call MS and wait for over 20 minutes and then book our ADR's that way. I hope this problem has been corrected. I guess I will find out in December once again for our trip next June.

I have a split stay coming up- checking in friday dec 4 and then moving to a different room dec 5th- so my dining should begin today as its 180 days from the 4th but I can't book anything past the 5th- I tried calling disney dining and the rep told me that it was a glitch last time i was able to book at 180+10 with my split stay- huh? Calling back to speak to a different person now

Yes, they've closed this loophole and you can now only book 180+ the length of the first part of your split stay. Your window for the second part of your stay won't open until 180 days from the first day of the second part.

Edit- Member services allowed to book my entire stay and apologized that the disney dining system doesn't allow for this. He was very helpful and I was still able to get all the ADRs we wanted, and book BBB through him as well. I was nervous since other had a 3 hr jump, but all worked out.

You are super lucky!!! I've read of many other members who have been shut out from this. My personal experience was that the CM said that once it came to that time for our split stay, they would set up a phantom reservation spanning the whole stay so I could book the full +10, but then I read a bunch of posts that said that they wouldn't be doing this anymore. So I'm glad you let us know that it may not be as cut and dried as we thought !

And if you haven't just logged in, you might only see 1 day. The cookies remember you, but you're not really logged in.

I read here that reg. Disney Dining recently quit linking split stay ressies. I asked MS about linking & was also told that I would have to wait a day for our 2nd reserv.'s 180 + 10 window. THEN I read here that MS did link for a Dis poster. When I called MS on the day for our first window, the CM asked permission from Leadership to create the phantom reser.#. I later asked to be connected to a supervisor to commend my MS CM for booking 2 dozen ADRs, a day ahead, & thus avoiding the frustration of 5 am online glitches for the next day!! Our online ressies were for 11th days for every day thereafter, so no need to start @ 5 am.

Thanks for all the responses. I guess I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best on the 180+10 working. Just a few more days until I can make those Christmas reservations!

it is apparently still hit or miss. Our last three trips, it worked for only one and I had to call to make reservations beyond 180 days out for other two trips. The one it worked for was the middle of the three trips, and for the most recent one in May, it did not work.
