Dining Reservation Party Size Issue

I am looking for a reservation at Napa Rose. If I put in 4 people (what we will have), it tells me there are no reservations available. If I put in 5 people, there are reservations available every 30 minutes starting at 6:30. I don’t want to lie by making a reservation for more people than what we will actually have, but I also don’t want to miss out. Any suggestions?

Maybe make the reservation for 5, then afterwards update it to 4?

That's so strange. The dining reservation system is always throwing us some new quirk!

I just checked on availability up to the 60 day mark, and I was getting absolutely NOTHING for party of 2. Changed it to 3, and suddenly there are plenty of tables available. What's up with that?

ETA: maybe they don't have 2-tops in the dining room?
