Dining Plan?

We're considering and reconsidering Disneyland. We'd like to do the dining plan just to prepay some of our dining costs. My question is this: I know that there are character meal vouchers included, but we might like to do 2 character breakfasts. Could we use our vouchers with a dollar value to pay for a 2nd character breakfast? Or do the character meals only accept the character meal vouchers?

Also, we're staying for at least 8 nights. Would we be safe getting the 6 day meal plan or is that still too much food? Should we get less days?

You can use the $$ value vouchers at the character meals. If you don't eat 3 big meals a day - 6 days is probably fine for an 8 day stay. It depends on how much you eat and where you eat. You can always purchase less days on the dining plan and take extra cash for food if needed. The dining plan doesn't really save you any money, it's just convenient - especially if you like to prepay for as much as possible.

The dining plans I saw (for 3 days if I remember right) included two character meals so I would check how many are included before you plan on buying an extra one.

Thanks... I think we're going to just save and pay as we go. We're AAA members and that will get us a discount on the character meals.
