Wonderful review!

You mentioned two things that I cannot find on the menus at allearsnet.com You said your kids had a vegetable and dip appetizer (kid size?) at Sci-Fi, and a make your own sundae at 50's prime time. Are there other restaurants that are now offering kids appetizers? Also, was the sundae at 50s where they bring out a bunch of little cups with toppings, and the kids make their own, or do they actually walk up to a sundae bar somewhere in the restaurant?

Betty

The sci fi appetizers were on the kids menu, there was a fuit and cheese w/mango yogurt dip one and carrots and celery with ranch dip one. At the Grand Floridian there was cheese and grapes and one other appetizer on the kid's menu. Concourse SteakHouse also had kid's appetizers on the kid's menu - shrimp cocktail, salad, and 2 others I can't remember. I don't remember others off the top of my head.

The Sundae at 50's Prime Time was like you described, a bowl of ice cream and little cups with the toppings in them. The girls loved them!

I thought you could not share the ayce skillets at WC. Do they allow this now? Thanks!

I was sharing with my under 3 year old child, which is allowed at all resturants. I was entitled to a kid's meal which my under 3 ended up actually eating and my 5 year old ended up splitting the skillet with me. We didn't get seconds on any of the foods, so it's not like it was any extra food they supplied. They brought out a one person skillet, not a multiple person skillet.

We got them at the hotel food courts (POP Century and Carribean Beach) and also saw them at Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom. They are on the plan as a snack item.

Great reviews :) Thanks for taking the time to post !

We are taking Estrella (our 2 year old) on September, a few days before her birhtday, and your posts here have been truly helpful.

We have the dining plan too, and didn´t know if we had to pay for her or if she could share, etc., and now we knos better what to expect with her.

Thanks.

This all sounds super! My question is this - can you add it to a room only reservation or do you have to have a package to get the dinig plan? Very confused!

I am pretty sure you have to get park admission too, but not positive. "The Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining offers you an easy and affordable way to experience a wide variety of participating Disney restaurants. And as a Disney Resort Guest, all the Disney Resort benefits are available to you.

This flexible package includes:

• Accommodations at a Disney Resort
• Magic Your Way Base ticket
• Disney Dining Plan"

That sounds to me like you need to have the base admission ticket! That was taken off Disney's website.

We will use the dining plan also. One son is 7 and one is 10. Am I correct that my 10 yo can order from the adult menu?

We are heading out in ONE month today!!! :cheer2: I was getting really freaked out about how to work the breakfast thing out the the CS credits. Great Tip! I was also relieved to hear good reviews about CBR! I can wait to try out Shutter's. Thanks again!

If he were charged as an adult, than yes. It will say on your room key (which is your dining card) adults and children. I am pretty sure that a 10 yr old is considered an adult, so yes, he could eat off of either menu. If there was no kid appetizer, we could order one for our 5 yr old off the adult menu.

now I am sooo confused. I purchased the dining plan for sept/oct trip and I have two adults and three kids so why would they charge you for the fondue isn't each person to get a desert??

Probably because the fondue is meant to shared with 2 people.

use one table service credit for a character meal? Or would this require two TS credits?

And let me get this straight: you get 1 table service, 1 counter service, and one snack per night booked w/ the pkg?

So we could conceivably have a character meal (TS) each day, then eat at CS, then also have a snack at the parade?

Thanks!

is there a thread that explains the dining options?? Like all the table service restaurants in the World take the dining plan and ALL the snack places take the snack and all the counters take the dining plan...and so on...or are there only certain places the plan can be used?

I clicked on this and tried to get it and it all worked e xcept the chart that tells you what each place is counted as...it has all black stripes down it!! any tips??

Hmmm. There are vertical lines on those pages, but they are mostly gray and have little Mickey thumbs up signs under the appropriate category. If you can at least see the restaurants here's what I can tell you: everything listed is one TS, CS, or Snack credit except the following Signature or Show Dinners (which are two credits):

* Jiko
* Flying Fish Cafe
* California Grille
* Hoop-Dee-Doo
* Mickey's Backyard BBQ
* Citrico's
* Narcoosee's
* Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
* Artist's Point
* Yachtsman Steakhouse
* Coral Reef
* Brown Derby

(And let me just apologize for using a colon within a colon. It's driving ME crazy.)

Chili :crazy:
