Ooh, I'm so glad to hear that. My DH just realized that they serve breakfast, and since we'll be staying at SSR in May, I have a funny feeling we'll be eating there a few times. Anything else you can recommend for breakfast?

Their breakfast pizza always looks amazing in the pictures I've seen in dining reviews. I've always wanted to try that.

Yes to both questions! We absolutely love WPE! Just stay away from the mac and cheese, and you'll be fine!

Why stay away from the mac & cheese? That's one of the best things on the menu!

When my DH ordered it a few weeks ago, it the pasta (not macaroni, by the way) was dried out and hard, and the cheese looked like an orange glob. It was completely inedible, and our server wondered why they had even served it. He also agreed that it was the worst thing you could order, because, according to him, that was how it usually looked. It was a disgusting mess.

Everything else we've ever eaten there has been wonderful, though.

one of the best values for CS credit on the DDP. Good pizza--not the food court variety. Pot roast, pastas--never tried the breakfast, but dinner items were great.

Yep, I second that.........one of the best CS Meal values in Disney. It sure beats the burger/chicken fast food options that you find on property.

:goodvibes :goodvibes

Oh wow we just love this place it is a must do for dinner at least once on every trip!! I think we will actually go and do dinner here the night before we check into our resort and start our FDP in Sept!

That's too bad. I've ordered it many times, including the locations at WDW, San Francisco, Santa Monica, and Lake Tahoe. and have never had anything that appeared the way you described. They definitely should not have served that to you. :sad2:

As far as the pasta, I've had mac & cheese made with many different types of pasta other than macaroni, but I still consider it mac & cheese. Even the popular blue and orange box of mac & cheese doesn't use elbow macaroni, if that's what someone is expecting when they think of macaroni.

We were on DDP a few year ago and went to Wolfgang Puck express the first night.. DS#2 and I had salad, DS#1 and DH had pasta and we had a cookie and soda and was considered a CS on the plan.. it was so wonderful, the server was very nice an dwe had great food.. DH was amazed that it was a CS..

It sure is. I'm really looking foward to trying WPE this year :)

I am Hsvteacher's DH and I would like to explain that I am Italian and know my pasta. The pasta that was served was rigatoni. The problem was it had been made earlier that day and the cheese was cooked to the pasta and had dried out. I grew up having my mom make 4 cheese baked macaroni and cheese. She used whatever pasta was in the cupboard usually parts of different boxes that were opened. She would mix in the different cheeses she had around the house and throw layer of breadcrumbs on top and bake it. The crumbs would mix with the cheese and create a crust so you would have to cut some of the crust and then scoop out the gooey, stringy mac and cheese. We would always fight over the crusty top.

With that said, I love everything I have eaten at WPE except for that hard dried out crap they served me and called it Mac and cheese. Even the manager said it was inedible. He brought me some spaghetti and meatballs.
That was good. :confused3
