Dining plan without package question

We are going to Disney this time with a dance group. We had to buy our tickets through our dance studio and book our resort on our own. I noticed that when I booked my resort, the dining plan wasn't an option because we didn't book our tickets with the room. Is it not possible to book the dining plan with our group tickets? I'm not even sure if I want to do it yet, but I am now wondering if it is even an option.

Yes, you can book a "ticketless package" which is room plus dining and no tickets. It is not available online. You have to call in to book a "ticketless package'.

This was changed a few years ago. Now, you can create a package with only room and dining, but it must be called in. The only time you are required to purchase tickets to get a dining plan is when it is part of a dining package promo like Free Dining or Stay, Play, Dine.

OP, did you book your room through the WDW groups department? If so, it simply depends on the contract your group signed for the block of rooms they reserved for your event. Sometimes the contract will include the dining plan as a booking option and sometimes it won't. Simply call the number you called to reserve your room and ask the CM if you can add a dining plan to your room reservation.

We did this last both last year and this year. Like previous posters have said just call to add it.

Yes. As i said, it's called a Ticketless Package, and you can't book it online.
