Dining plan without making all meals ADR's?

I am going back and forth with the dining plan. While I would like it, I don't want to have to plan my every move while on vacation. I don't know what days I may or may not be at parks so making ADR's is kind of difficult. Is it even worth it to get the dining plan without making all my meals ADR's? Will I be stuck not having anywhere to eat?

I would say get the Quick Service Plan, 2 Counter service and 2 Snacks as well as a Refillable Resort mug. This will give you two non-ADR meals. I'm going to try this one out. The way I figure it you get the snacks for free each day saving $5-$8, which will mean $30- $40 dollars per person for the buy 4 get 3 package.

We thought about that but we do have a couple of ADR's for sit downs. We like sit downs but just don't want to have to plan for every second.

If you do not want to plan out your TS meals, than maybe the dining plan won't work for you. How easily you can score a walk up depends on the restaurant, the size of your party, and the time of year. Many of the more popular places do not take walk ups. If you are ok with running the risk of not utilizing your non refundable credits because of not planning an adr, than go with it. But personally, as much as I hate to plan where Want to eat 90 days in advance, it is better than wandering around aimlessly or calling Disney dining non stop looking for somewhere to use my credits.

I agree--it would be a shame to not be able to get in anywhere one day & then waste that $.
