Dining Plan, Tips, and Disney Gift Cards

We are on the free dining plan and I understand that we will have to pay our tips out of pocket. My question is - Can I use Disney Gift Cards to pay for the tips when the meal is covered by the dining plan? Want to make sure before I buy any gift cards, as the answer to this question will drastically affect the amount of gift cards that I buy. (My kids school gets a % back on the purchase of Disney gift cards so I want to buy as many as I can use but don't want to find out that they can't be used for tips and then have a bunch of gift cards left over......or spend it on even more stuff that I don't need....)

Yes. Many people have a separate GC just for their tips. I wish my kids school had that fundraiser!!

You can also apply the GC's to your room bill so you do not need to carry them around..
I think the max is three at a time however you can stop by the front desk 2-3days if needed
