Dining Plan through DVC

So here is my dilema...

We are doing a split stay at OKW and the Poly for most of the trip...

Originally wanted to just do a deluxe dining plan for 2 days at the Poly...but now am being told that we cannot get the dining plan because I am not buying any tickets (we have some from previous trip that were non-expiring which I thought was supposed to be a good deal.) The dining plan is not a stand alone right now. You have to have a room, at least one day ticket for each person in the room to one of the parks (MVMCP does not count) and then can get the dining plan.

So the amount of money for just a few rest meals will be more expensive then the dining plan for 5 days at the reg rate which I know I can buy through DVC....

What I do not know is if I have to buy a ticket for the parks for the DVC portion - or can it just be added on?

Hope this makes sense...I think the dining through the DVC has seperate rules than the reg resorts.

For DVC stays using points, there is no ticket requirement for the dining plans. Just call Member Services at least 48 hours before checking in to add the basic or deluxe plans.

If you happen to be renting, the member must contact Member Services for you. I would contact the member well in advance if that's your situation.

In either case, you pay for the dining plan at checkin.

DVC members (and their guests) can get the DDP (or DxDP) added to their reservation without a ticket purchase. It just has to be added to the reservation at least 48 hours before check-in. Just call MS to add it
