Dining Plan: The best and the (not really) worst

We LOVED the Dining Plan.

Especially my dd's who could not believe we got dessert at EVERY meal.

Our hands down absolute favorite was BOMA. Who could not like that. Between the Prime Rib, Potatoes, Rolls, Fresh Fruit, Plain Pasta, and desserts we could not imagine anyone not finding something delicious even if they were picky eaters. We also loved the soups, salads, and wonderful dips.

Our biggest suprise was Pizzafarri. We ate there early 11:00 and found it very relaxing and pretty good. We split three pizza and a cesar salad PLUS dessets (chocolate cake YUM). It was nice and sunny in there, we had not heard anything about it. We had reservations that night at Ohana so did not want the Flame Tree BBQ which was our original choice, but was too much meat for one day for us.

We also LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Seasons. The grilled flatbreads and salmon were outstanding. And the selection of desserts was amazing. We went twice and had yummy cakes, brownies, the incredible 'fruit tulip" and my dd's favorite "mud and bugs" .

Also good for us was the ABC Comissary. The noodle and veggies dish was delicous. And the desserts were great too.

Our ONLY disapointment was Crystal Palace. We found the food and desserts much better at Chef Mickey's, which SHOCKED us!

Thank you for the report. We'll be trying Crystal Palace for the first time this trip, but our expectations are low. We're going not because of the food, but because: it will be a new place to try, it's convenient for MVMCP that night, and the 100-acre characters are our favorite! I figure we won't go hungry.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

Thanks for your report. We are eating at Boma and Chef Mickeys as well and I am glad to hear such good things about them! Glad you had a great trip.

OT but did you share any of the TS credits or did you each use one for every meal? I am just really wondering if there will be too much wasted food

We ate only at Buffets or Family style places so there was no way to share TS credits. We did sometimes share CS credits, with my two dd's sharing a meal.

We used most of our snack credits for fruit and milk which we used for breaksfast each morning in the room. We bought OOP little cereal bowls and that was more than ennough for us since we ate lunch each day at 11:00.

The one thing that was too much was the desserts at CS for lunch. At some places we only asked for two, though we were entilted to 4!

Thanks for the reviews. We are planning on giving Seasons and ABC commisary a try ( everything looks so good) when we head down.

Since there will be no kids with us this time, I am happy to say I will not have to find a place where they ABSOLUTELY have to have pizza or nuggets.

We didn't like Boma. The soups were wonderful, but not sufficient. Everything else was - well - buffet food. Glad you enjoyed it, just want people to know that, yep, extensive as all get out, but it is possible to not like it. And we aren't picky eaters - but we are a little on the "foodie" side. i.e. it was the quality of the food that disappointed.

Well, its defintitely not true gourment. But my DH put together a really good meal of Soups, Flatbread and dips, CousCous and Watermellon Rind Salads, Salmon with Peanut and Red Pepper Sauce ("borrowed" from the suaces supplied with the Prime Rib) Bowls of Fresh Fruit and Dessert that was defintitely not typical "buffet food"

... "What and where is seasons?" ...

I think they're referring to the Sunshine Seasons food court located in The Land pavilion at Epcot.
