Dining Plan question

Hello, I just added the Disney Dining plan to our vacation. Here is my question... We are staying at the hotel for 8 days, but only purchased the park tickets for 7 days. Does the dining plan cover the amount of days at the hotel, or the amount of days that I purchased park tickets for? Thanks for your help!

It covers the number of nights in your stay. So if you are paying for a 7 night stay, you get 7 TS, CS and snack credits per person in your room.

Your Dining plan covers the number of NIGHTS at your resort so if you are going for seven nights (say Sun -Sun, which would be eight days) then you would be entitled to 7X the # in your party for snacks, counter service meals and table service meals. For a seven night stay s family of four would have 28 of each type of meal credit. Your meal credits do not expire until midnight of your check out day so if you use your credits wisely you can still have some left to use for your last day.

Wow, thanks! So it is pretty much from the time we check in to the time we check out??

Actually not till you check out, it is 11:59pm of the the day you check out.

So you check out at noon(11?) but your flight does not leave until 8pm, you can still have dinner that day even though you have already checked out. That is assuming you have credits left on the plan.

For an AP holder already paying rack rate for 5 nights, this would be a good deal.

You could purchase the 1 day MYW tickets for your party, and receive 5 free dining credits for each person in your party. The MYW tickets expire 14 days after their first use (1 day tickets expire on the day used), so you can save them for a future trip.

Of course, if you are getting an AP discount on your room, you have a real choice to make. Do you give up the discount to get free dining?

I confirmed the 1 day tickets approach with 2 CRO.
