we are on the ddp and i have been curious as to how the snack credits can be used ??

i have seen a lot of people saying that you can use them for breakfast but i was just wondering what we could use them for ?

i was just thinking especially on a few days when we want to leave early maybe we could get something and take it with us or get something in the park ?

a lot of it seems to be a case of it depends who you ask but i just wondered if anyone had a bit more of an idea ??

am soooooooooooo excited its only 73 days to go and im already starting to get little bits and bobs

i have got a mastercard fairfx card through my mums work and she can get a great rate atm so we are sticking money on there in dribs and drabs

a tip she gave me as well is to get an additional card and to leave the main one at home with a family member that way if you need to have it topped up you can as apparently on the first main cardholder can do that

if i get a second over the next week i am going to start a pre trip report mainly to give me my disney fix but also *** other people are bored of my excitement :lmao:

hope everyone is well :goodvibes

Hi

We have used the QSP dinning plan twice and have used the snack credits for various things. You can get fruit bowls as a credit and begals as well as pieces of fruit and bakery goods. You can also use them for bottles of juice or ice creams.

If you do a search on DDP snacks there was a great list someone made for last year which breaks down place by place what you can get for the credits. We even used ours for the food samples at the Food and Wine festival last year. It is marked on the menus what is a snack credit.

Sorry can't advise on the pre paid cards as we take cash and a credit card with us for big purchases.

thanks lee !

i am compiling a little folder of everything thats included in the dining plan - is there a simialr thread for counter service as well ??

i intend to test each member of the family thoroughly before we go on whats included and any incorrect answers will mean surrendering one snack credit to me - that should really help the diet :rotfl2:

You don't need to do this for CS as everything on the menu is included for CS. As long as the restaurant takes the dining plan you can order any entree, any dessert and 99% of the time, any beverage (I only say this as there are the odd places which seem to have become few and far between with more 'decadent' beverage options and sometimes you get a CM who is a bit sticky about whether it counts as the drink, but you are unlikely to encounter that unless you are trying to be really adventurous).

When I get home tonight I will fish out the little spiral bound booklet I made. It's held together by a craft jump ring with a stretchy key chain attached and is little bigger than a credit card. It has all the snack info on it sorted by parks. If you think it will help I will try and search out my files and send them to you by email - or you can just borrow my booklet (please let me remember where it is :rotfl::rotfl:)

Wow that is organised :worship:

And I thought I was good by remembering to pack the plane tickets, passports and car hire voucher :lmao:

lee that would be amazing thankyou !

i dont seem to have 5 mins to myself at the moment and i am shocked that its march tomorrow - with a million and one birthdays between now and when we go includding dd's big thirteenth i am slowly losing my mind

add into the mix a 13 week old puppy and you get the house of chaos :lmao:

Another option is to share cs between you and then use the 'spare' cs for breakfast.

So for us 2 adults and 1 child we will usually share 2 cs between 3.

If you have a car or grocery delivery you could get quick things for brekkie in your room and save the snack credits for good stuff like dole whips.

If you can't manage dessert at TS they will box it up for you - that was brekkie for us aswell

On all the menu boards in the parks (counter service places and carts), resorts etc. there is a Dining Plan logo next to the items that are valid as snack items :)

Thanks for the great links I'm starving now!!!!

we are going to get the QS DDP next trip and I plan on not wasting a single snack credit - yummy :)
