Dining Plan question...should we upgrade?

Booked for late October. We got an offer for free dining plan, so the travel agent says it knocks 300 dollars off our total, And if we up grade to the deluxe it adds 500 dollars, basically we are up grading to the deluxe for 200$. We are booked for 4 character breakfasts and have a sit down meal most nights. it just seems like a no brainer. Am i missing somthing?

If the cost of the upgrade is less than the cost of what you'd pay OOP for any meals that wouldn't fall under the normal DDP, then go for it.

If you have a few places you'd like to add specifically on the DxDDP, and the cost of those meals, plus the cost of the previous OOP meals is less than the $200 upgrade cost, then go for it.

If the cost of the extra meals you're paying OOP for is less than the cost of the upgrade, and there are no additional meals you want to add, then stick with the DDP.

Note: If you're adding meals to take more advantage of the DxDDP, you'll want to figure in tips as well, since they will add to the cost of that plan.

How many nights and how many sit down meals will you have? If you plan on having 2 per day I would do the math and see if the extra per day for the DxDDP is a good deal.
