Dining Plan no longer accepted!!!!

This has to be a glitch.

Looks like it all happened about the time that the 7DMT FP+ became available and the website was flooded. Has anyone called Disney Dining? Just don't see this actually happening. I have many of these reserved for Free Dining in Sept.

Exactly one minute ago I pretended to book Akershus and it said it was 1 credit on the dining plan.

Reports are that 50,000+ FP+ for mine train were booked today and the system couldn't handle it.

I'm sure it will work itself out. Not that Disney ever has IT problems.

I was on hold 22 minutes and gave up..I am hoping all is well or they will not be happy with all the cancellations.

Just called and asked. She said that the dining plan is accepted at Akershus, and helped me to make a reservation as well. It must just be a glitch. She did tell me that it took 1 table service credit on the dining plan.

Don't worry, all is well! :goodvibes

I just called and the cm I spoke to talked to her supervisor. According to the supervisor the dining plan is still accepted at the character meals. They are not sure what is going on with the website. But they will be passing it onto IT. Hopefully it will get fixed.

I know Tables in Wonderland has blackout dates starting August 1.

*Beginning August 1st 2014, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey’s, ‘Ohana (Dinner Only), Cinderella’s Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and Le Cellier Steakhouse will be subject to the additional blockout weeks of: November 23-29, 2014; December 21-27, 2014; March 8-April 4, 2015; May 31-June 20, 2015.

Blockout dates for Tables in Wonderland are Mother’s Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Tables in Wonderland is valid for one year from date of purchase.

I called about this earlier. I asked about Crystal Palace, Akershus and Chef Mickey. The CM said something about the system not being updated to show contracts that were renewed. She did confirm that the above restaurants are accepting the dining plan and that the website was incorrect.

I booked several character meals this morning for November. All we're showing that they accepted Disney dining plan. I had to use a combination of the iPad app, the website, and a phone call. The online systems were glitchy, with the app behaving the worst.

I just checked the website again and it is still staying "Dining plan not accepted" for the few that were mentioned. So if it is an online glitch it hasn't been fixed yet. I really hope it is!

I hope it is a glitch that gets fixed soon as well and we can all move on from this nightmare.

So, right now, if you click on a restaurant on the dining website and look at the info, under the pricing it says if dining plans are accepted or not. Those mentioned, like CP, are still showing as not accepting DP. Now if you click on, say, Ohana it is showing as taking it. If you then click to see what plans it shows 2014 and 2015 and it looks like 2015 there will be no premium or platinum plans anymore (just quick service, regular and deluxe). I booked the Spirit of Aloha 2 days ago and was shocked to see that it said it only took 1 entitlement under regular and deluxe DP. Today, though, it's showing 2 entitlements...so it is glitchy. I am wondering if they are entering all this 2015 info and it's messing things up...and in a few days it will be sorted out. BUT, as DP prices have climbed and TIW card cost (and blackout dates are growing) it does seem that Disney is raising costs while shrinking benefits so it would not surprise me if they take these off the DP (or make them 2 entitlements maybe). We don't get the DP anymore but we get TIW and hate to see it becoming less and less a value as well.

I really think this must be a glitch but I do find it curious that only the character meals are showing that "no dining plan accepted" wording.

I just went through as if I was making an Akershus ADR and on the page after you pick the time it said this :
