Dining Plan meal question

Hi,
I was just wondering...when you purchase the meal plan you get a dessert with every meal.
But what happens if your sit down meal is breakfast?
Do they include a extra side or something? or do you just lose the dessert?

That's why breakfasts are not the best use of DDp unless a character buffet that costs a little more than a table service ala carte type breakfast. You get more for your money with lunch or supper !!

Last year we took things with us for breakfast: pop tarts, cereal bars, cinnamon buns prepacked of course,cereal and we bought a 1/2 gal of milk there and got ice in a ziplock bag that we put into our collapsable cooler. We just refilled the ice each night and morning and the milk stayed nice and cold for a few days. Just make sure you put the cooler in the sink because they do tend to leak everywhere as the ice melts lol. This year we are going to take things with us as well but we also have adrs for three different buffets which we are paying OOP for. Never use the dining plan for breakfast if you are trying to use it to the maxium benefit.

You do not get a dessert with the disney dining plan for breakfast unless you do a ts buffet. They do give you two drinks however which one is a juice. There's already a thread by the same poster on the DDP board asking the same question.

The answer from the DDP brochure is: For breakfast at TS or CS, you get a breakfast entree, juice, and a second beverage.

Or, a full buffet.

We actually used 1 CS every day for breakfast. It worked for us. DH got a breakfast platter a large orange juice, and a large grapefruit juice (instead of a hot beverage). I used a snack credit for a chocolate croissant.....
I had a refillable mug for my coffee...

yep, not a great value....

sometimes we'd use our snack credit for a bagel & cream cheese for breakfast, but this year we may bring along a couple of breakfast items for the room so we can use our snack credits on the more yummy things like dole whips & figaro fries...and cream cheese filled pretzels
