So my travel agent told me they don't do dining passed for children 2 and under (Disney dining plan) Last night I realized I have made reservations for a Character dining each day except for one. They all take Disney dining sit down meal vouchers but my 2yr old is not getting any....Does that mean I have to pay for him to go? Not a big deal just wanna be prepared :teeth: I DO however wish if this is the case and I have to pay for him extra then they would alllow us to purchase the dining plan for him also, just the charachter dining and a snack would be worth it

He isn't at the age that I order him his own food but he does eat a little bit. Actually all my kids eat like birds and are fairly picky eaters

Thanks you guys have been lifesavers for this first timer :thumbsup2

Your two year old will be free at character meals. Just double check your bill at the end to ensure that the restaurant doesn't accidently charge you for it - although it is very easy to have corrected if they do (just go to the desk at your hotel).

Your DS2 can eat at any all-you-care-to-eat places (buffets, doesn't matter whether character or not, Whispering Canyon 'skillet') without charge. The dining plan and tickets start at age 3. Of course, I am no scholar, my DS was 2yo during our visit. Just make sure you inform the server in the beginning, when you tell them you're on the dining plan, that he is 2yo. We only had 1 incident, that was @ Ohana's at dinner. Our server charged us one table service credit for our son, but when told he quickly resolved that error, though he said he did not know and that we should have told him in the beginning (what a heel!). Otherwise, at any other place you would either have to share with him or purchase him his own meal OOP.

We did Disney Dining Plan. Our 1 and 2 year olds ate free at every buffet type restaurant, and shared with us at the non-buffet, non-family style places. You will have plenty of food to share. At 2 of the non-buffet places they even brought a free drink for the 2yo, but I wouldn't count on it.
If you need to order anything extra at a non-buffet sit down, you will be charged on a separate bill. You will have to pay the tax and tip on that amount, but tax and tip are included for meals in the DDP.

For counter service meals you would either share with your child or pay out of pocket for them.

Just to prepare you, there are no vouchers or coupons, only your room key which is like a credit card. This is what you use to pay for your meals.
Enjoy!

Thank you guys SOOOOO MUCH you answered everything and more I am so glad there are not coupons or voucher ( I TOTALLY EXPECTED THEY WERE. I DON'T KNOW WHY....) I was worryed about keeping up with everything :) :woohoo:
