I was wondering if we go to a restaurant and don't want to eat a full meal can we "buy" one and split it or do they not like you doing that?
Sometimes when its really hot we don't like to eat all that food.

It appears to be allowed anywhere except: buffets, all you can eat family style (like Ohana or Garden Grill), fixed price restaurants (Akershus and CRT), and dinner shows. Also, sharing the all you can eat skillet at Whispering Canyon with someone who didn't pay for it isn't allowed (kids under 3 excepted). Also, several reports that Beaches & Cream won't allow dining plan guests to share, so ask there before you plan on splitting meals.

I believe you can as long as its not a buffet or all you can eat meal. I dont see why they wouldnt since the dining credits are all pooled and you can use them in any order throughout your stay. If you only order one meal, it costs one credt. :)

I would just hate to order a meal and throw it away because I'm not hungry enough to eat the whole thing. Even at home we sometimes order an appetizer and will split a meal.

Not to hijack your thread, but I am wondering which restaurants serve a plate of food big enough to share that will allow it. So, which ones would this be a good choice for? I would love to do this as well.

I have been wondering about this too. If we split a counter service meal, my thought is this could leave a credit to get a big counter service breakfast to share. Does this work?

Yes, we did this last summer. My DD 14 and I shared a few meals throughout the week so that my 3 kids could all have a full breakfast on our last day before heading off to the airport. Our flights were around lunch time so I wanted them to be able to eat a meal.

There were several places where the meals were big enough to share.
