I'm thinking about making an ADR for Le Cellier and had a question regarding the kid's plan. I know they get an appetizer with the TS, but Le Cellier doesn't have any kid option on the menus I've found online. Will they let them pick from the "grown-up" portion of the menu?

Thanks!
Christine

when we were there two weeks ago, they let us pick an appetizer off the adult menu for my 6 year old and 4 year old.

Jennafo- just out curiousity, what did you get for 6 and 4 yr olds? My DSs are picky, and I did not see anything on the appetizer menu that they would like. TIA :)

Hiya!

I'm a server at Le Cellier (weeeeee) thus I know for certain children order apps off the adult menu. For picky eaters it's usually safest to go with either the cheddar cheese soup or the beef and barley soup. Even if children don't like it I find the adults never hesitate to help empty the bowl ;)

I once served a child a shrimp cocktail... He took one look at it and covered his face and wouldn't look at it! Rather cute :) (Not to worry you if you wanted to try it, many kids do like it but I did quite like this boy's particular reaction! :D )

well... My four year old ordered the shrimp cocktail - now she usually gobbles up shrimp at home, but it was served in a chinese takeout box with a bunch of lettuce and a weird sauce... she took one look at it and said ewww. After we rinsed the sauce off (in my water glass!!), she ate all of the shrimp. My 6 year old ordered the cheese soup and liked it, but couldn't eat very much of it - I was happy, of course, to finish it off for her!!
they both ordered dessert - my four year old, who usually loves chocolate got the choc moose, which was very cute - but not that good - I think it was dark chocolate - she didn't like it. My six year old ordered the campfire smores and they were fighting over it. The desserts are good sized so they easily shared it (especially after the huge meal!!)
Hope that helps!!

My kids like steak so I was glad they could order that off the kids menu.
It was a nice change after the usual kid fare all week.

ahhh, shrimp ~
DS wouldn't eat them when he was a youngun'.
eventually got the reasoning out of him: he thought the were the fishes' <a-hem> hindquarters. (just look at them!! :stir: )

When we were there, I made sure they ordered something I would like.....

my dd loved the beef kabobs, we just ordered w/"no sauce" (even as decoration on the plate!) and ds ordered the ceasar salad (which i enjoyed most of but that was okay too! LOL!)

My 7 yr old loved the shrimp cocktail and my 4 yr old loved the cheese soap. The kabobs were also great!!
