Dining Plan and Fantasmic Dining Package

I read on another board where if you were on the Disney Dining Plan and did a Fantasmic Dining Package and you had children on the plan that they would charge all meals as Adult Meals. Is that true? We are planning on doing this, but if all of kids meals will be charged as adult meals, it is no longer benefical for us to do this. I would rather wait in line for Fantasmic than waste our table credits.

You might ask the cast member when you call to book it. When we went last year we were charged adult/kids. So we did not loose any adult dining credits for our kids.

I believe it depends on the age of your child. Children 3-9 are charged as a child, but kids 10 and older are charged as an adults. In my case, we will be charged 1 child, 2 adults as my second child is over 10. Kids under 3 are not charged, but a dinner is not served to them as the assumption is that they will eat from you plate. Hope this answers your question!
