I am renting points from a DVC renter and decided to add deluxe dining to the reservation. My rental person took my credit card info and paid for it. She received a paid confirmation from DVC. My credit card has not been charged and I am concerned that the charge didn't go through even though I have a confirmation showing it was added. Any advice about this? Does it usually take that long to process the charge? all other transactions have shown immediately

This is the 3rd day since it was added.
It's going to depend on your credit card company at this point. Some will take 5-7 days for a charge to show up. With a dvc reservation, you can add the dining plan up to 48 hours before check-in, so just give it a few more days and don't worry about it until day 10 or so.

Take the paid DDP confirmation with you and don't worry about it.

I added two dining plans to my recent visit, and it showed up immediately on my credit card under pending charges. Disney will try and charge the card when the plan is added - maybe there was a problem with your renter giving Disney the wrong credit card number. When I added the dining plans, it also showed up immediately on my DVC reservation confirmation. It showed the dining plan I added, and the amount I paid for the plan.

I personally would want everything straightened out before I left for Disney. The last thing I would want to do on my vacation is fight with Disney over the dining plan. Knowing Disney, you would probably have trouble the whole vacation when trying to use your dining credits.

cvjw, I agree with you 100%. My renter is not worried about it as she got the confirmation from Disney, but last year I paid off a cruise with a credit card and got confirmation from cruiseline. 5 days later charge was still not showing so I called cruiseline and they said credit card was denied and that balance was still due. turned out they made a mistake on one of the numbers on the card and they also put my nickname and not my legal name when they charged the card and was rejected later.
