No. The dining plan is part of a package. You can buy just a one day base ticket, but the dining is tied to your room reservation.

In order to get the dining plan, you must purchase a package deal. That includes room and tickets.

While you can get the dining plan w/ a AAA discount, you also must purchase your tickets to make it a full package.

What many do, if you want to get tickets elsewhere, is book the room and a 1 day pass for each member of your party. Then you can add the dining option for each night of your stay and, if you wanted, upgrade the tickets when you get there or purchase the true tickets you want from another vendor. You can save the 1 day passes for another time.

But you must purchase all components from Disney (with a minimum of 1 day passes) in order to get the dining plan.

I had the same question. I have room only reservations at POP (made thru Disney Reservation Center) using the AAA discount. So, I can go back and add the tickets and the dining plan to this reservation and still keep my AAA discount on the room? I'm confused because when I tried calling Disney to make a package reservation using the AAA discount, they wouldn't let me. But since I've made a room only reservation, I can turn it into a package and still keep my AAA discount?

To get the AAA room discount along with the DDP, you must book with a AAA agent. Disney (or any other TA) can't add on the DP to an AAA room ressie.

Another question??? We currently have a room only reservation with AAA booked through small world. I was thinking about adding on tickets and the dining plan. Does this mean that small world will not be able to do this for me?

Check with them, but I"m pretty sure they can't. You'll have to go through AAA itself to get the discounted pkg with room, Dining, and tickets.

HI,
Does anyone know if the dining plan has to be added for every day of the resort stay? We are staying 8 days, 7 nights at POR, with 8 dys of park hopper tickets through AAA . Do we have to take 8 days of dining plan or 7? Is it an automatic number of days or can we just add the DP for a few days?

The Magic Your Way dining plan has to be reserved for your whole party and for your entire stay. On the other hand, they count (hotel) nights, not days - so your only 'choice' is seven days of the dining plan.
