Dining or room discount..?

Staying at Port Orleans..got free dining but wondered if I am getting the best deal. If there were other tips or tricks to getting a good deal!
Me, DD and her friend are going for DD 18th birthday and a gals trip.

Any tips are Welcome and appreciated

I just switched from our room only at Port Orleans French Quarter that had a 35% code to rack rate room at POFQ with the free dining. We saved over $450!

ETA: We are arriving the day you leave, on the 19th.

With 3 of you in the room, there is no room discount that would be better.....

Explain a bit more on your savings. We are booked a POR and get free dining. They said I couldn't apply a second discount cause i am using the dining discount.
I am ALL about saving as much as I can.
Did you go thru Disney or another travel agent?

It is true that you can only apply one discount code to your reservation, so you could not combine a free dining discount with another one. I think the other poster is saying that they had a booking with a percent discount and changed that to one with free dining instead of the percent.

To compare percent and free dining discounts, you would have to compare two packages with the exact same thing - hotel, room category, tickets, dining plan.Since you are going at free dining time, rack rate for a standard room is 149 (159 on weekends). Fourty percent discount (highest percent discounts people are receiving in pin codes from what i have seen) would net a savings of about $67/night from the rack rate package. Free dining would net a savings of about $126/night off that same rack rate package.
