Ok. Am planning my next trip to Walt Disney World and found out that 3 other adult family members are coming, two of which have not been since before EPCOT opened. Am trying to convince them to upgrade from the DDP to the DxDP. Below are some table service restaurants I was thinking about making priority seating times for. Some I have been to before and others would be a first. What do you think? Want to hear the good, the bad and the "never go there again" reviews.

Thank you in advance!!!

Tusker House - Lunch
Yak & Yeti - Lunch (never been before)
50's Primetime
Sci-Fi Dine-In
Chefs de France (never been before)
Le Cellier
Rose & Crown
Tokyo Dining (never been before)
Via Napoli (never been before)
Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern (is lunch or dinner better?)
Boma - Breakfast
Flying Fish (never been before)
California Grill (have not been in an extremely long time)
Citricos (never been before)
Kona Cafe (is breakfast or dinner better?)
Yachtsman Steakhouse

Tusker House - Lunch -I would prefer this for breakfast

Yak & Yeti - Lunch (never been before) - Have fun! If you are free to do so, I would recommend checking out Sanaa in AKL.

50's Primetime - So much fun! Eat your veggies!

Sci-Fi Dine-In - Personally I love it, you will hear mixed reviews

Chefs de France (never been before) - Not worth it....

Le Cellier - Lunch or Dinner? Remember new 2 TS for Dinner

Rose & Crown - Try to get seating right before Illuminations

Tokyo Dining (never been before) - I would check out Teppan Edo instead

Via Napoli (never been before) - You will love it!

Crystal Palace - I am assuming breakfast, so much fun to walk Main St with no one there

Liberty Tree Tavern (is lunch or dinner better?) - Either one will work

Boma - Breakfast - Best breakfast!!!

Flying Fish (never been before) - Highly recommend the steak!

California Grill (have not been in an extremely long time) - Sushi is sooo good!

Citricos (never been before) - Personally, I would choose Narcossees of this

Kona Cafe (is breakfast or dinner better?) - Try breakfast!

Yachtsman Steakhouse - Good Choice!

Have fun!:cool1:

The ones we have been to and liked are

Chef's de France - very good food and loved Remi

Sci Fi - loved the atmosphere and food is good

Primtime 50's - it was ok

Le Cellier - Very good and we ate dinner but it was 1 TS then.

Teppen Edo - Very good

Crystal Palace - love the breakfast buffet and Pooh and friends

Have a great time.

I know all your choices except for Tokyo Dining..That is one place that I would never go to again.. Totally pick something else.. how about la hacienda.. I can't wait to go there in a month..

Yak & Yeti - Lunch (never been before) Love the entrees but didnt like the appies or the desserts. The ribs are out of this world and the steak and shrimp were delish too

50's Primetime - Lots of fun and very good food and cocktails. I always get the fried chicken white meat only. The onion rings are great

Sci-Fi Dine-In - Been to lunch twice, great burgers and boozy milk shakes..good combo :thumbsup2

Chefs de France (never been before) Do not like dinner but love lunch...awesome quiche

Le Cellier Love this place but have not been since it is now a signature but the menu looks good and I cannot wait to go back there

Via Napoli (never been before) Went three times in Nov and loved every single thing we had but when we went back in Feb the pizza wasnt as good...should have had the pasta. Dont waste the $$ on the fruit water...at 5 bucks a glass it isnt worth it

Crystal Palace Love breakfast but not the other meals as the food is way too salty

Liberty Tree Tavern (is lunch or dinner better?) Been for lunch and it was excellent (the fried cheese was nasty though). The chicken and dumplings and the pot roast were to die for. Do not care for the dinner menu

Boma - Breakfast One of the best around...the scrambled eggs with goat cheese and chive are a must

Flying Fish (never been before) Phenomenal! Been here three times, DH always gets the NY Strip and it is perfect each time. I have had the snapper, scallops and shrimp and they are all wonderful...you can sub out any sides you want.

California Grill (have not been in an extremely long time) Went in Nov and didnt like our meal at all...the quality of the food was not the greatest and it was overly salty and very dry...had the filet and the chicken. The cheese plate, salads and desserts were very good

Citricos (never been before) Hands down the best signature place in all of WDW! Amazing arancini (rice balls) and the filet and short ribs are drool-worthy!

Kona Cafe (is breakfast or dinner better?) Breakfast is awesome and lunch is fantastic...both are 100% better than dinner

Yachtsman Steakhouse TO DIE FOR! We ate there in Feb and were shocked at how amazing it was. The NY Strip was the best steak I ever had...didnt even eat the side dishes because the beef stood on its own. Get the tomato salad, it was like edible art on a plate and so full of flavor. The Banana Napoleon was so full of flavor we wanted to get another one!

Tusker House - Lunch We have had all 3 meals here and LOVE all of them! Breakfast is my favorite though
Yak & Yeti - Lunch (never been before)We have never been either :(
50's PrimetimeWe have eaten here a few times for lunch. it is fun. The food has always been good
Sci-Fi Dine-In Never been due to the mostly bad reviews of the food
Chefs de France (never been before)This is one of My Mother and my favorites. DH could take it or leave it though.
Le CellierNever had a bad meal but not worth all the hype either
Rose & Crown Never been but we LOVE raglan road in DTD
Tokyo Dining (never been before)Just think of Benihanas
Via Napoli (never been before)
Crystal PalaceThe Breakfast was really good but it is lod and I personally would not go without kids
Liberty Tree Tavern (is lunch or dinner better?)Favorite place for lunch. Sometimes we go 2 or 3 times a trip
Boma - BreakfastWe don't go anymore. the food used to be really good but seemed to not be very good the last 2 times :confused3
Flying Fish (never been before)
California Grill (have not been in an extremely long time)We went on our HM and are going this next trip the apt are great. stick to those and you are good
Citricos (never been before)
Kona Cafe (is breakfast or dinner better?)Another favorite for us. We always have dinner here at least once in teh restaurant and once in the sushi bar. The Breakfast is really great too!
Yachtsman SteakhouseWe have been twice. My grandmother and I love it but DH and grandfather aren't as smitten :confused3

Tusker House - Lunch >>>> breakfast is the best by far!!!! Huge variety!!

50's Primetime >>>> famous fried chicken was sooo salty. Table next to us said the same. Felt rushed. But antics are hilarious!!!

Sci-Fi Dine-In >>>OMG we love this place!!! Theme is a blast. Food is simple but great!!!! LOVED their ribs. YUMMY! Shakes are awesome too.

Le Cellier - >>>>WAAAY over-rated! Worst steak ever! Fatty & tasteless. Cheese soup was blah too. Would never go back. Its 2TS for dinner now btw, hahahahahahaa i find that hilarious!! What a rip. :lmao:

Rose & Crown >>>>Been 2 yrs ago, great steaks!

Crystal Palace >>> Lunch/dinner is amazing!!!! Gorgeous place too.

Liberty Tree Tavern (is lunch or dinner better?) >>>>go to dinner! its an all-you-can-eat family style thanksgiving feast. OMG ITS GOOD! SO GOOD! Go starving (not just hungry) LOL!

Kona Cafe (is breakfast or dinner better?) >>>>Breakfast is YUMMY! Tonga toast rocks!! Well worth going.

Tusker House breakfast is good.
Liberty Tree Tavern dinner is good but some do not like it.

i love your choices. eating in different types of venues like tusker house or ones with unique themes like 50s or prime time are great for taking 1st timers. flying fish and citricos are probably my two favorite venues in all of wdw. i know others like narcoossee's...i do too but have hit had or miss service the past 2 times i've been there. i also had one great experience at california grill in july 2007 but terrible in december 2010. i've been to flying fish and citricos 3 times each since 07 (the last dec 2010) and have had great food, service, and love the atmosphere and will be doing both on our next trip this fall. if you're going with an adult group in particular don't forget the little out of the way places like la cava del tequila for an adult afternoon snack.

Thank you for all the reviews so far.

Any more??

Tusker House - Lunch I loved this. One of my favorite meals of my last trip.
Yak & Yeti - Lunch (never been before) I can't speak for the food, but the mixed drinks are yummy.
Le Cellier- I went for dinner before it was a signature and it was to die for. Not sure if it's worth two credits, but maybe for lunch?
Via Napoli (never been before) This place is great. It gets mixed reviews but I think it's fantastic.
Crystal Palace I had an awesome breakfast here... Lots of really interesting choices.
Liberty Tree Tavern (is lunch or dinner better?) Never been, but the lunch menu sounds more appealing than the set dinner menu, for me.
California Grill (have not been in an extremely long time) Great atmosphere, great service, nice food. I've only been to this and Jiko for the signatures, and slightly prefer Jiko.
Kona Cafe (is breakfast or dinner better?) Haven't been for dinner, but the menu sounds good. Breakfast is awesome.

My comments are in bold:

Tusker House - Lunch One of the better buffets on property, especially for breakfast. It still pales in comparison to Boma, but it's excellent for an in-park restaurant.
Yak & Yeti - Lunch (never been before) I love this place and am always surprised by the sometimes-mixed reviews. I especially enjoy the seared tuna appetizer and crispy mahi mahi entree.
50's Primetime The experience is completely dependent on the playfulness of your server. I've found the more you make it known you want to play, the more the server stays in-character. Stick with basic food here.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Go for the atmosphere, not the food. It's the kind of place every Disney fan should try once for the experience, but I have no desire to return anytime soon. I don't like that the novelty of eating in the car makes conversation difficult.
Chefs de France (never been before) Solid, but unspectacular. I like the setting and try to imagine I'm eating at a real Parisian cafe.
Le Cellier Haven't been since the change to signature. Didn't understand the hype then and don't understand it now.
Rose & Crown I don't have enough experience with this restaurant to make a fair comment.
Tokyo Dining (never been before) I admit I'm a sushi snob, but I am neutral on this place. I'll go if friends want to go, but I wouldn't go out of my way. It's decent sushi.
Via Napoli (never been before) I am shocked about how much I enjoyed my one dinner here. I am so spoiled by authentic New York pizza and typically despise the cardboard Disney calls pizza, but the food here is wonderful.
Crystal Palace Haven't been here in many years, but it's a basic character buffet. Go for the character interaction. The food is unmemorable, albeit acceptable.
Liberty Tree Tavern (is lunch or dinner better?) I prefer lunch. Dinner lost most if its charm since the characters went on vacation.
Boma - Breakfast My absolute favorite breakfast on property.
Flying Fish (never been before) I don't know enough to comment.
California Grill (have not been in an extremely long time) It's considered perhaps Disney's best restaurant for a reason.
Citricos (never been before) I don't know enough to comment.
Kona Cafe (is breakfast or dinner better?) Most people say breakfast, but I say dinner. Love the appetizers and desserts.
Yachtsman Steakhouse I've never been.

Hope all this helps!

Would you change Tokyo Dining to Teppan Edo or just skip both and try something that is not on the list?

Tusker House : Never been before, but we will try based on good reviews here
Yak & Yeti : One of the worst TS we had for our trip last month, great service but food wasn't that great and found the plates and utensils just dirty.
50's Primetime: Never been before
Sci-Fi Dine-In: Never been before
Chefs de France: Been a while since we've been here, but we really love the french onion soup and the cream brulee, great service as well
Le Cellier: Had it twice this past trip, we love the mussels appetizers, the steak, and the pretzel bread
Rose & Crown: Never been before
Tokyo Dining: never been before
Via Napoli: never been before
Crystal Palace: We love this place for breakfast, great made to order omelet, great selections of food, love that the restaurant is nice and bright
Liberty Tree Tavern: I think lunch is better, the fried cheese is great, and the crab and spinach dip
Boma: - Breakfast
Flying Fish: Love this place, everything is good here, the snapper, the steak, salmon. The appetizers are great, the crab cake, the mussels, tuna tartare, and the dessert are great as well.
California Grill: Spicy kazana roll is great, great view, good service
Citricos: Tried it after hearing the reviews here, we thought it was okay, nothing good, nothing bad, and the service was not that great
Kona Cafe: breakfast is great, the macadamia pancake and the coffee press pot

Would you change Tokyo Dining to Teppan Edo or just skip both and try something that is not on the list?

Teppan Edo is a MUST DO and by far my fave restaurant at disney!!!! :thumbsup2 They have far better steaks than le cellier too! I've tried both so I can say that. :lmao: Teppan edo is quite entertaining to watch too. Chefs are great. If you like Teppanyaki/Hibachi, then you'll love this place.

Thank you for your reviews.

Tusker House: Have been for breakfast & lunch, and as I was planning on doing Boma one morning for breakfast, thought lunch @ Tusker would work out better.

Need to cut one restaurant out. Which one would you choose & why?

Chefs de France (never been before) - We love Chefs de France! We always thought the food was very good (and they have baked macaroni and cheese on the adult menu  for me) and the atmosphere is nice. Plus, if you schedule right, you could see Remy!
Le Cellier - Okay. I don't really eat meat so I can't give a fair assessment of this restaurant. DH said it is fine for 1 credit, not 2.
Rose & Crown - Awesome! We eat here every trip. I love the fish and chips!
Tokyo Dining (never been before) - I have heard that Teppan Edo is better - we have tried Teppan Edo and it was fantastic.
California Grill (have not been in an extremely long time) - delish. Atmosphere is great and if you can, schedule it around the fireworks.
Kona Cafe (is breakfast or dinner better?) - have had dinner here. This is also a must-do every trip.
Yachtsman Steakhouse - ate here for the first time last year. DH raved it is the best steak he has had on WDW property. I had scallops and they were so good.

Have fun!

Will change Tokyo Dining to Teppan Edo.

How is the Brown Derby? Worth 2 credits? Do they still do the Fantasmic dinner package?

Should I cut Yak & Yeti out?

Chefs de France is very average...nothing special.

I would recommend Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner (the food is heavy and I would be too tired after the meal to keep touring the park full speed in the afternoon!) and Kona Cafe for breakfast (Tonga toast is DELICIOUS!) :)

I LOVED the Brown Derby on our last trip. I think it's well worth it, though others on the boards may disagree. They still do the Fantasmic dining plan.
