We have one morning on our upcoming trip that we'd like to do a leisurely breakfast (as opposed to grabbing a bagel and running) but we don't want to have to travel for breakfast if we can avoid it. We are staying at the PO-R.

I'm looking at Riverside Mill versus Boatwrights Dining Hall. My first impression is to do Boatwrights since its a restaurant, but the Mill seems to have much of the same things on the menu (specifically the create-your-own omlette) but is less expensive. My questions are then:

1. Is the quality of food the same for the Mill as it is at Boatwrights? (and of course I'd like to know if the quality is poor across the board)

2. Is it chaos at the Mill since its counter service? (This would be on a Thursday near the end of October).

I'm just trying to avoid paying more and dealing with reservations if we don't get anything more out of it :)

TIA!

We've never done breakfast at either, but we have eaten at the Food Court and it is very good for a food court. We ate at Boatwright's for dinner two years ago and it was by far the worse meal (and service) we'd encountered at Disney besides Hollywood & Vine. That being said, DH and I are going back next year because he so much wants to try the sweet potato pancakes that everyone raves about and to me you can't ruin breakfast as much as you can other meals. I would do the Food Court if you can get some of the same menu items cheaper.

I just got back from staying at POR so I can give you some input, however I didn't eat at Boatwright's.

The first couple of times were great...not busy. The busiest time we saw was after 9 p.m. Then the weekend hit and it was insane in the morning around 9. I don't know about October times though, but I would definitely go first thing.

The food court was actually good for breakfast. I did the create your own omelette and it was very good, as were the breakfast potatoes. I also got a bottled water and bottled apple juice with it.

I have pictures on my food report. Link is in my siggy.

We ate at Boatwrights in June for the first time and really liked it. Good breakfast! We stay at POR every year, and we love the food court(Riverside Mill). The food has always been good for any meal and we do b-fast there almost every morning!
