Dining at Boardwalk..

We love the Boardwalk area; it's one of our favorite places on Disney property! Definitely check out the link above, but here goes a bit more personal information....

Our favorite restaurant at WDW used to be Spoodle's, so we were sad when it closed. On our last trip we finally tried Kouzzina, and we loved it! It gets some mixed reviews around here, but we liked everything we had. It was wonderful. We're planning to go for supper and breakfast next trip.

Flying Fish is one of the best restaurants at WDW. When we first started staying at the Boardwalk we were intimidated by the menu b/c we aren't big fish eaters, but we're really, really, really (yes, 3 reallys!) glad we got over that. Mom still isn't too into fish, but their steak is amazing, and they always have some fantastic apps and desserts.

Big River Grill is decent. You can get a good burger there, and they brew their own beer, if you're into that sort of thing.

ESPN is a fun sports bar. I remember not being too impressed w/ the food, but if you love sports, it's the place for you.

Boardwalk Bakery has great selections, but be warned: the line in the morning at breakfast time is redonkulous! Go at an off time and grab a cupcake or something. There's also Seashore Sweets, a candy shop/ice cream parlor. You can get the big rice krispie treats there, and their milkshakes are pretty good.

The giftshop on the Boardwalk is one of the best at WDW. It's huge, and it has practically anything you could want to buy. There's also an art gallery/store featuring the art of Wyland that's fun to browse (or, hey, buy, if you have the money! I know I'd love to get something there sometime!).

The lounge at the Inn--The Bellevue Room--is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink and some conversation. The lobby is gorgeous, and I love to sit out on the back veranda and watch the boats come and go.

Can you tell we love the Boardwalk? :hippie:

Out of all the Table Service Restaurants in WDW the ESPN Club is my favorite and I always go there multiple times, which is very easy when staying at the Boardwalk Inn.

As for Quick Service the Ice Cream and Milkshakes at Seashroe Sweets is amazing, the Pizza at the Boardwalk Pizza Window is a must do, Boardwalk To Go has good comfort food, plus when you order their basket meals they include a drink and the Boardwalk Bakery has some great sandwiches.

I second CoolDisneyKitten's post. Great atmosphere at the Boardwalk. You cannot go wrong there! ;) Char-grilled New York Strip at the Flying Fish is one of the best hands down. Southern Flyer Lite beer at Big River Grill goes down nice and smooth.

We enjoy ESPN Zone and Big River Grille, both of which we walked in to (as a party of 11) with no wait during the week before Christmas (granted, we were eating after 8:30 both times). The Big River Grille brews their own beer. I believe they are part of the Gordon Biersch family.

Kouzzina has a good breakfast. Flying Fish has great food and service(can be noisy). ESPN and Big River are good spots for lunch. Best adult dining is over at Swan(Il Mulino and Kimono's) and Dolphin(Bluezoo and Shula's).

None of these Quick Service locations are included on the Disney Dining Plan, if that matters to you.

The whole Boardwalk area is great and I agree with most posters here.

It's true that the Boardwalk Bakery is crazy in the morning... I don't know what Disney was thinking making that tiny place for a huge resort. There are some DELICIOUS goodies in there!

We also have enjoyed Kouzzina. ESPN is good but it's like going to an Applebee's or Chili's type food... which is fine. We were supposed to eat at Big River but left after our drinks as the menu wasn't too enticing. Flying Fish is on my 'to do' list.

You can also walk over to the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. The Cape May Buffet is good, and Yachtsmen Steak House is awesome.

Have fun! :goodvibes

Thank you so much!! :goodvibes
We have never even ventured into the boardwalk. I didnt realize there was so much to offer! Right now I have a ADR at Trex, but I def think we are going to look into going to a meal at the boardwalk instead.

I was pleasantly surprised with Big River Grill. The Beer Cheese soup was very good. I'd like to go back and sample their beers one day.
