This will be our first WDW vacation in May, it will also be the first time we have flown anywhere with DD(6) and DS(3), so pls bear with me if my questions sound silly!

We are planning to rent the double strollers at the theme parks but will we need a stroller for DS at the airport at all? Or will just me and DH taking turns carrying him be fine? Does it make sense for us to bring our Maclaren Triumph? I was hoping we wouldn't have to bring it but then it could come in handy when we go to the outlets for some shopping.

It seems like alot of people bring their own strollers - based on some posts I have read so far...At this point, I'm not as concerned about cost, in the grand scheme of things, but more about convenience! Thanks!

I would consider renting a stroller off site as then you get the use of it at the resort.

I don't know your 3.5 yr old so I can't comment on whether you need a stroller at the airport.

I decided to purchase a stroller for WDW as the price of renting was slightly less than a new stroller. I have brought the stroller for a second trip to WDW and it will be going back again this year.

I would definitely bring your Mac for a 3.5 year old. We went in October for DD's 6th bday and still brought hers (she didn't need it and it was a huge waste to bring it but we had it just in case). Aside from the airport, where I always found it better to have stroller when you are trying to juggle carryons, you will also need it for the hotel! I think a lot of people forget that. The hotels are HUGE and if your child falls asleep on the bus, it's way easier to roll them back to the room. Don't forget that you'll be tired from park-touring all day and your arms will welcome the break. Also the bus stops at the parks are not exactly right outside the gates, particularly at Epcot.

If you don't think the airport is that big of an issue, just rent one from Orlando Stroller rentals. It is way cheaper than renting at the parks, and gives you the opportunity to have a stroller @ the resorts.

We did that on our trip last year when my DD was 4 Mos, and will be renting again in December when my DD is 27 mos.

I agree that you probably don't need a stroller for your 3.5 year old in the airport, our 2 year old doesn't even need one in airports (but he was never a stroller kind of kid anyway ;) ).

I second renting a stroller from an off-site company. We rented from Orlando Stroller Rentals and they were great; we will be renting from them again in May. It was there as soon as we got to the hotel and it was great having it at the hotel/DTD, etc.

I agree with bringing your own stroller. You can just gate check it when you board. Super easy. The strollers are expensive to rent also. Like some one else mentioned, the hotels are HUGE and some time just the walk out of the park (after the return of the rental) to the bus or monorail can be painful with a tired little one, that you may not want to carry after walking all day long!

Forget bringing your own (I gate checked one and it was dropped off the conveyor and snapped off a wheel and ruined)
Forget renting at the park (expensive and you do not have it for the resort/shopping/etc..)

Rent from Orlando Stroller-much cheaper, at your hotel waiting when you get there! Customer service is great!
