Hey everyone
I was hoping I'd be able to get some input on a situation I've got about my wedding...if you could I'd be completely grateful
Firstly some background:
My fiance, Josh, and I are both 20 years old. We've been together - on and off - since I was 15 years old and we got engaged on March 1st of this year
Josh works part-time at the moment, but will hopefully be getting another full time position, earning at least £11,000/$22000 a year...it's not a great amount, but it's a lot better than the £5000/$10000 he is currently earning. His outgoings monthly aren't a lot, as we live with my mom and my brother at the moment, and she only asks for £100/$200 rent atm
I don't have a job atm, as I am a full time student. In September, I'm going to university to study Law...student loans will cover my yearly tuition fees, and my accommodation, and should also hopefully give me a weekly allowance for food etc. But I will probably end up getting a part time job, so that I can save up for a holiday...and a wedding.
Because of our 'financial situation' we haven't decided when to have a wedding. It probably won't be for a few years...likely after my 3 year degree....that'll give us time to save up. If we save hard, and with a little bit of
we could probably amass £17,000/$34,000+ by then...I hope
I love WDW...especially Epcot. Josh has never been, but we're planning on going relatively soon, and I'm sure he'll be as hooked as I am. He has already suggested that we could have a WDW wedding, if I want to.
Thats my dilemma...I have a big family and can't imagine a wedding without a lot of them there
Our last two family holidays involved 22 people...but my great-aunt paid for everyone. I doubt she would do that for my wedding though...and I wouldn't really expect her to
I would *love* to get married in WDW, but I also want my family there...as we all live in the UK, that could be a problem as they would have to pay for the travel themselves. A week long trip, for two adults, including the DDP (to make it easier and cheaper). Josh and I would probably give them all park tickets as gifts
...I'm worried that not many people would be able to attend, because its quite a lot to pay, just to attend a wedding :S Would it be better to have a wedding in the UK...because of the family thing?
It would cost us quite a lot to get married in WDW, compared to in the UK, but I don't think a UK wedding would be quite as 'magical'
Either way, we're thinking of a black and hot pink/fuchsia wedding..would I be able to customise a WDW wedding to accommodate that?
As you might be able to tell...I'm completely lost!
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
