Hi guys
I have just been checking the VA flights as I have miles to use .We normally use the miles plus money option. Now,we have booked our whole holiday with Virgin as when I looked 2 weeks ago the flights were £1980 for 2 adults and 1 child. Now they are saying £1506.00!!
I have looked at virgin's site at accomodation only +dining plan +tickets with the seperate flights and it works out £609 cheaper than the package!!
With my FFler discount as well.I don't know whether to ring virgin and ask them to change to accomodation etc only and book the flights direct with virgin atlantic or do I ask them to price match which I doubt they will do?
I know I will have to pay an admin charge per person travelling but it still works out a lot cheaper than the package price.Anyone else ever had this happen. It is so frustrating.Help!!:scared1: :scared1: :hourglass

Seems like a no-brainer to me. £600 or just under is an awful lot of extra money to pay so I would change.

Admin charges =£75, saving overall =£525,

I think its worth the inconvenience, definately change:thumbsup2

Hi there
Recent experience with Virgin Holidays really disappointed me, have always booked holidays with them in the past and are members of Frequent Flyers programme.
Priced up online 2 weeks at All Star Movies, with 14 day ultimate passes and return transfers in Feb 2008. for 2adults ,2kids and was quoted £4200.00 with my frequent flyers discount.(We were renting BCV for 5 days our second week so thought we'd just get value resort as package)

Same holiday with Travel city Direct £2600.00 (obviosly flying to Sanford) . But that wasn't and we wanted to fly with Virgin better for the kids on a long haul flight.

Anyway on a whim I priced up with Thomas Cook signature the exact same holiday and it came out at £3700.00 still flying with Virgin !! Go figure......my friend said I should have gone back to Virgin to price match , but to be honest the guy at Thomas Cook Signauture was so helpful i wanted to give them the business !!

Thats one huge difference...I was shocked. Will write to Virgin about it though.

I also noticed that Virgin charge more to stay at All Star Movies than Music and Sports.... what's that all about????

Well thanks everyone and I have changed the deal after a 45 minute phonecall to the indian call center. When they e-mailed me back with my details they had charged me for Port orleons (which we decided to change to due to the saving) and booked on the paperwork the all stars movies. So again I called and got through to an english call center who corrected the details,no apology and said would post out the information in 7-10 days.If I didn't have the vouchers they gave us from last year and my FFdiscount I would of told them to stick it.
Flights were cheaper still today got them for £1449.So with the upgrade to port orleons riverside etc we have still saved £355.
Just hope the paperwork is right or there will be a few strong words put Virgins way.!!!!:hippie: pirate:
