Digital transfer to cd...

...does anyone knows how much it cost to transfer my digital pictures to a cd??
and also where is best inside or outside Disney??
DH and I have two digcams and will be sharing just 5 memory cards...

I think it was $12 to transfer 100 photos, but I am not positive. Thing is, it takes forever. It took about 35 minutes when I transfered mine They do have them at the parks and at the deluxe resorts.

Every day last week I went to Walgreens and downloaded a 256mb card of about 120 photos for 3.99. Their quality is outstanding. I wish we had one around here, because Sams & Walmart can not even compare to Walgreens quality!

Their are Walgreens around every corner down there. One near Crossroads @ DTD, one near Gaylord Palms (near POP), and a gazillion on 192.

Odd, I am surprised that there is a difference in quality. A digital picture from the same camera should look the same on 2 different CD writers. However, it is possible that one "reduces" the size or quality to fit more on a disc?

Oh, there was a tremendous difference! I just printed off 24 last night at Walmart, and they were horrible! I had printed the same ones at Walgreens and they were great! I guess it's the same re: different printer quality. I've learned my lesson though, I am not using Walmart again! I had previously only used them and Sam's, and just thought it was because my new $400 digicam wasn't as good as my SLR. Not the case!

Sorry, I did not catch that you printed them off. Then, yes, it depends on the printer etc. However, I think the origional post was just transferring the photo's to CD's so you can take them home on CD to make as many prints as you want.

Be sure to check the cd out BEFORE you delete the pictures. I remember a post here not too long ago about someone who used the Disney machince to transfer the photos and for one reason or another, the cd did not create correctly. They assumed that the cd was correct, deleted their pictures and lost a lot of precious pictures. Just a heads up of something to do before deleting everything!

If you can mannage to, just take a computer. That would be a lot easier since you could drop the pictures on to your comupter every night in your room. It would save you time and money... but may feel like a hassle depending on your preference.

bring our laptop (Dh is freaking about leaving it at the hotel and we are staying off site we are going to have a lot of walgreens around and the price is ok for us...
...you all have saved us a lot of fighting (good one ) about who is using more memory cards

This is something I would have totally forgotten about. We just recently purchased our 1st digital camera and would never have thought about transferring them!!!
