Jessica, I love your LO. You couldn't have found a better background!

Hypermommy, all of your pages are great, but I especially like the one of your Dad. I have many, many old family photos that I want to use for LO's and I hope that mine "scrap themselves", too!

Melissa, what a beautiful page! I know what you mean about that song. I've seen Wicked twice, also.

Great layouts!!!

Pooh -- would you mind sharing the clipart of the HS logo a lil' bigger for us? :) I would love to use that ..

In 2006 we went to see it for the first time in Chicago on her birthday. It was so magical! We were lucky enough to see Kate Reinders and Ana Gasteyer play Glinda and Elphaba. They both left a few weeks later. They were fabulous! So the musical holds a special place in my heart, especially since it was an experience I shared with my sister.

Melissa- I just love this layout. I am also a big fan of Wicked and was lucky enough to see Ana Gasteyer and Kate Reinders play in Chicago too- 3rd row, center. This is my all time favorite musical & For Good is my all time favorite song from it! I have often thought of doing a layout with those words...I think you may have inspired me to get on it!. Great job. And in 1.5 weeks, I'm off to see Wicked for the THIRD time... I just love it.

Root Beer Falls - This is the name given locally to Tahquamenon Falls. I vaguely remember going to Tahquamenon Falls. The part of the trip up there I remember the most is driving across the Mighty Mac, which was scary because it was quite windy that day. And I remember my dad getting us lost and almost ending up in Canada. Anyways, Tahquamenon Falls is located in the Upper Peninsula near Lake Superior, which we actually went in and it is VERY cold. I really liked these pictures of the falls and wanted to use them.

Got one done this morning in response to the lyrics Saturday challenge over at SM. I love challenges... they give me so many great ideas.

I keep seeing all these amazing layouts to lyrics. I guess I should pop on over to Scrap Matters and see what that challenge is, I LOVE doing layouts to lyrics.

Here's one I got done before I have to go clean up a park with my Daisy Scouts.... I'm not thrilled with this layout- but it's done. Formal night on our cruise.....

I have also done a LO for the Saturday Challenge at SM. I could hardly not do it since I had the kit, Butterfly Kisses, and that's the song that my daughter and my husband danced to for the father/daughter dance at her wedding.

When I was younger my family often went "up north" and made several trips to Mackinaw City. This layout is with pictures from our 1987 trip.

Mighty Mac - One of my favorite landmarks in Michigan is the Mackinac Bridge. It is so beautiful. For this one I included one of the photos I found from our 1986 trip and used one of my favorite photos from when I my sister and I went up there for my birthday. I love the vibrant blue colors in the photo.

Soo Locks - When my family went "up north" in 1986 we also went to the Soo Locks. The Soo Locks is the only between Lake Superior and the lower Great Lakes. I have a few memories of this part of the trip. I remember watching the ships come in and the water being raised and lowered as needed. The color scheme for this comes from the one boat, but I liked the photos better in black and white.

Hi Guys -- I did the personalized font thing. It was $25 through Darcy at DigiChick... http://www.thedigichick.com/shop/product.php?productid=16405&cat=270&page=1 I did the exclusive font because something about people having access to my handwriting kind of creeped me out. I don't thnk it would bother me as much if it were my printed script.

I am happy with it. It looks like my writing. I can tell she had to fix my "tails" a little to make all of the letters flow -- but I'm sure there is no way around that. She got it to me within 2 days..... Here's a link to a sample I just made if you want to look at it.

So cool Christy! I think I'm going to go ahead and get this. She adds your doodles too?

That's awesome Christy. I had a friend make my handwriting into a font for me but its not the cutest. I don't even use it that much cuz there are other handwriting fonts I like way better! Hahahaha. But its nice to have!!

Everyone's pages are outstanding! I have not been able to start on the SM song challenge and now I probably won't be able to do it at all. At least I finished my Dis challenge page! My computer crashed this morning and is in the repair shop. I bought the thing 1 year and 3 days ago. You wouldn't think it would crash so soon. Hopefully they will be able to fix it and get it back to me soon. I have an older notebook and that is what I am working from right now, but my PSE6 is on the other computer. It just hasn't been my day. I have my office set up upstairs for my scrapbooking and genealogy and the a/c just went out! Enough already! Its hot here today in Texas and its around 82 degrees in my room right now. They can't come until tomorrow to fix it. I won't be up here long, I can't take the heat!

Good luck to everyone on the challenge!

Thanks, Pooh, for the DHS logo!

Rochelle

The thought of a/c sounds funny, i have a sweater on. Weird weird weather! So sorry to hear about your computer Briar... major bummer. Hope you get it back quickly! And doing a trial on the other computer is a good idea, of course you'll have to go find some freebies to work with...
