Of course, as soon as I was done typing in my question, I figured out the answer. The word "picture" was in a separate layer and I was supposed to delete the entire layer. I am so sorry to have bothered all of you. (did I mention that I am just starting . . . ?)

Labdogs what program are you using? I can help you out with templates if you need it. I found them so confusing when I first started and couldn't figure out why people said they made things easier. Once someone showed me there was no stopping me. I use PSP but I see around alot of people use their magic wand tool to do them.

Britt, cool! I was waiting all day for that challenge to be posted.. I started scrappin' last weeks early this a.m. before i realized that the deadline was yesterday.. LOL

I really hope to see more challeges there, i love doing them if it's at a site that i like, and hope that more take off!

It hasn't been announced officially but after this week it will change to two weekly challlenges. One that starts and ends on Tuesday and one on Saturday. The Tuesday challenges will all be template challenges and the Saturday ones will be random and different. It's going to be super fun!!!!!

HEY! Why don't we do our own challenges here at DIS? With each other? Anybody want to? I could donate prizes and I bet I could get donations from some of my designer friends!!

I would definately love to host one -- and especially here b/c we all love Disney, so we could do theme challeges around that --our love for the mouse!

BTW - this weeks challenge over there, is definately a thought provoking one. I (like you) don't usally scrap my feelings much -- so, this will take some thinking -- why do i have a feeling i won't be paying attention in my meeting at church tonight.. LOL

I'm up for challenges here, too! I really like the challenges. I like the ones that limit my choices so it helps me do a page faster than I normally would! I plan to start trying out those templates as soon as I get my computer situations straightened out! ETA, the challenges could probably stand their own thread (s). I know the photography board does challenges over there.

My computer with PSE on it recently crapped out and had to be re-formatted, reloaded, etc., and I still have to reinstall PSE on it. I was using Creative Memories SBC+ software on my laptop to do most of my pages, but I'm pretty sure I can't use regular templates in that software. Now, my laptop is on death's door! (latest update is the guy think s I probably need a new mother board ). Hopefully I'll be back to digi scrapping soon!

Oh yeah, the DIS is the only board I know of where threads go on and on and on like this! Once you get used to it (and become part of one of the huge threads) it is actually really cool!

Ok - so who else wants to play?? Disney-Themed challenges OF COURSE! Yes. So, someone who knows better about this forum, should we start a new thread for each challenge? I'm so new, I don't know how y'all format things here. I'll start the first one when everyone's ready and then we can let whoever wants to host next go for it. Is 1 week enough time for a challenge for you guys??

I like the long thread. It's like one big fun conversation. I'm always worried though that I'm derailing the actual point of this thread. Which I think was to post our digi-pages. Hope the "conversation" is normal and I haven't totally ruined this thread. If so, maybe we need a different "convo" thread.

Yes, by now, you all are probably sick of my newbie questions, but what is a challange?

Suzi... many of the different digital scrapbook websites have different challenges. Some are monthly, some weekly, daily, whatever. They are supposed to help motivate you to get layouts done! There is usually a prize or posting bonus for completing the challenge.

Challenges can range from templates/sketches, colors, theme, title, use certain elements, etc. There's hundreds of different ones out there on the different sites!
